I do not stay updated much ![]()
We use Maven dependencies but I would have too look for further information regarding Cloud9.
Artifactory, Jenkins and Ant are the ones we use as well.

If you use the rest it should be really easy to incorporate ivy in there. Lucky for you I was the one who set it up for my department so I can help you with it.

Re: Mac vs PC for Programming
Have you looked in to NodeJS ?
If you are a new programmer then I think youâll really like it . Its based on Java Script so its pretty straight forward . Easy to setup , and you can write your programs for any platform . Plus it pays good ![]()
Re: Mac vs PC for Programming
if you are using one of the cloud VMâs that i suggested (Cloud9, Koding, Nitrous) you can have your NodeJS stack with one click and your servers/editor/environment will be ready in 1 minute. You can delete/recreate whenever you want + you can always hook it up with github or bitbucket
Re: Mac vs PC for Programming
Not yet, people use it at work and heard about it.
Re: Mac vs PC for Programming
Finally deciding to get a MAC and the description is here
13-inch: 2.7GHz
with Retina display
Specifications
Product information
The New MacBook Pro with Retina display
The 13.3-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display packs the latest technology into a thin and light package. Powered by a fifth generation Intel Core i5 processor and Intel Iris graphics, the MacBook Pro with Retina display includes a pressure-sensitive Force Touch trackpad, faster than ever all-flash memory and a long battery life to keep you going on the road.
Retina display
With over four million pixels on show, the Retina display on MacBook Pro is positively stunning. Designed to ensure that your eyes wonât be able to discern individual pixels from a normal viewing distance, images take on a new level of realism, while text is sharp and clear. Colours on the Retina display are rich and vibrant, while a high contrast ratio makes blacks appear blacker and whites whiter. It also includes IPS technology to enable a clear view from angles as wide as 178-degrees.
Force Touch Trackpad
With the Force Touch trackpad, Apple has pushed the trackpad further than ever. Itâs been refined to provide a responsive, uniform click, no matter where you press. However, the force sensors add a new dimension to using a trackpad, detecting the amount of pressure youâre applying to open new possibilities. Use different levels of pressure for new capabilities, such as previewing a file or quickly looking up a definition of a word. Itâll also provide haptic feedback- a tactile response to help you feel the action youâre choosing. Force Touch also works in addition to the intuitive multi-touch gestures that already help you get around your MacBook with ease.
Fifth-generation Intel processors
Intelâs fifth generation dual-core i5 processor will let you take your most demanding apps on the road. It provides stunning performance that uses Hyper-Threading technology to allow you to multi-task and work on intensive applications without experiencing any lag. Applications run faster and more efficiently than before. So everything you normally do on a computer you can do even quicker, from web browsing to video editing. Add to this 8GB of RAM and youâll find performance is smooth even when youâve got a variety of apps open.
Intel Iris Graphics
Intelâs fifth generation processors work with Intel Iris graphics to deliver eye popping graphics and incredible multimedia experiences, without the need for an additional graphics card.
Powerful and Portable
MacBook Pro with Retina display somehow manages to squeeze more power into a smaller space than ever, making it thin and light enough to take with you. Every millimetre has been carefully considered to maximise performance and minimise size, while bulky legacy components have been removed in favour of newer, higher performance technologies. You wonât even have to worry about running out of power after a few hours use, thanks to the long lasting battery life of up to 10 hours of web browsing.
The Latest, Fastest Technology
Packed with the newest and best technology, MacBook Pro with Retina display makes quicker work of everything. As well as fifth generation Intel Core processors, MacBook Pro with Retina display includes super fast PCIe-based flash storage for lightning quick load times, 802.11ac Wi-Fi to ensure rapid networking and two Thunderbolt 2 ports for swift data transfer through a wired connection.
Mac OS X Yosemite
OS X Yosemite helps to bring iOS and OS X devices together. Itâs packed full of features that will help you take full advantage of your hardware, without compromising on looks or ease of use. It works with your processor to give you the best possible experience and will keep everything up to date, even when itâs in sleep mode.
OS X lets you control your Mac with simple, intuitive gestures. Your favourite apps are easy to reach in the Dock, while Launchpad provides quick access to everything. Finder makes it easy to browse and organise your files, with Spotlight ensuring that searching for documents and apps is effortless. It comes with amazing apps like Pages, Numbers, iPhoto, iMovie and Garageband that give you the platform you need for productivity and creativity, with more great apps are available for download from the App Store.
If you own and iPhone, iPad or iPod touch running iOS 8, then you can move between devices in even smarter ways. Make and receive iPhone calls on your Mac, even if your iPhone is in another room. Send and receive both iMessage and SMS text messages on your Mac. Start an email, document or browsing session on one device and instantly pick it up on another.
