For my wedding day, I had a desi lady who did my makeup but EVERY SINGLE thing she used from the primer to the brushes was from MAC and I loved my makeup that day!
As for an actual MAC makeup artist doing my makeup, I went for a trial and she made me look like a clown! Literally. I looked so much darker than I really am and some of them have no idea what their doing. Perhaps I just got stuck with the wrong artist so go for a trial!

I’m seeing this late, but I actually got married in Atlanta in March. YOU NEED TO USE MY MAKEUP ARTIST! She is awesome and her youtube videos have actually been posted on GS. Her website is Makeup By RenRen
PM me for details. She does amazing airbrush makeup (something MAC artists can’t do) and she will come to your location. I didn’t use a MAC artist because they don’t have portfolios and there is really no way for me to tell how talented they are or if they can do South Asian bridal looks. Ren has lots of experience with desi weddings and knows a lot about our skin tone and style. Finally, if you tell her your concerns she will DEFINITELY accomodate you.
