As I was getting married the next week so I had had to go buy a new shade matching my skin tone. I went to Alfateh in Liberty...I think it was Rs 1500 for the Select 15 Foundation my actual match was NC 30.
So that is my long story to your short question :p The price is around 1,500 rupees. This could or could not have gone up by now....I bought it in August of last year....IMAGINE I still have more than half a bottle left...that is how much I use foundations :p**
But I still am upset with that makeup artist at the MAC store...I had to toss that wrong colored foundation out, wasted $35 :'(

I have neva eva worn foundation on my face because i'm afraid it will give me a terrible masky look :o i only use the face powder as my foudation:)

Mac has a promotion atleast in the US, if you bring back 6 empty mac products, lipsticks, blush, foundation etc, they'll give u a free lipstick. They also have some secret location in NYC where they sell allll of their product ranges for MUAs all the shades of lip and eye colors.
lol... same thing happened with me too and same shades...but before going to pakistan i exchanged it for the NC30

i dont think its just the mac counter
i had the same problem at macys counter for clinique
they always think that we r darker than we actually r
i pointed it out the next time i went n the lady was like u will tan in the summer wont u
i was like um i live in canada it snows here for like 8 out of 12 months i dont think ill b tanning n i made her give me lighter shade like i had to force her cuz she wouldnt listen

1500 RS? That doenst sound right...
Last time i checked out makeup at Al-Fatah Mac eyeshadows were about Rs 2250. In the US, it cost $13.50, which at the time was about Rs 800 or so.
This was back in 06 though. (didnt' check otu much makeup the next time i went.)

I've only been to the store once. It's pretty shady, it's in midtown somewhere, you gotta go up in a building on the second floor they have a huge shop with everything and I'm pretty sure it's only for MUAs but I've been there and they don't check id. I'm sure you can google it. I found out about the promotion about two yrs ago when I actually went to that store. Then a yr ago I was at a mac counter in a dept store and they had flyers about it. They also had it on their website. It allows them to recycle the cases , bottles and compacts.

^^^think theres something similar in miami---heard from my cousin that they sell the entire eyeshadow collection for MUA's (without the outside boxes) for $100. Need to get this!
