I’ve been considering buying this because i’ve heard so many people rave about it, but i have oily eyelids so if i wear this alone,(as in no primer/no eyeshadow) will this crease on me?

^Yup, it will. These primers are good for allowing the colors to pop but if your lids are oily, it will definitely crease. They don't "set" so you need to apply a primer. I use painterly and I love it, I use it anytime I do simple eye liner to smokey eyes. Def. a good base to have on hand.

In that case would it be better for me to buy UD's primer potion in eden, since that will cover any discolouration on my eyelid before i apply my eyeshadow ( that's what i wanted the paintpot for), and it'll prime my eyes at the same time...

^I have Eden by UD and it's great for covering the darkness on the lids, it gives a clean canvas

Yes.
I have about 6-7 paint pots (including Painterly) that I use as primer. My shadows/pigments last ALL DAY without any issue. BUT....every time I've applied the paint pots by themselvse....with no eyeshadow or pigment on top of it....with 2-3 hours they crease.

That could work but Eden works best for skins around NC20-NC35-ish.

^yeah, ive had a look at some swatches of it online, and it looks quite yellow? I'm an NC20 so hopefully, it'll cover any discolouration and prevent my eyeshadow from creasing.....
