MAC make up course in London - should I go?

Hi ladies,

There’s a MAC make up course being offered in London - I just saw the offer on Groupon:

http://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/london/face-factory/2764114

It’s for 3 hours, taught by professional make up artists using MAC products, and you get a goody bag to take home with you. They say they’re gonna teach Asian Bridal as well.

Do you think it’s worth going to? It’s £49 which is quite cheap IMO…but don’t know if it will be value for money…

The main reason I thought it’d be useful is for after marriage when you have to get dressed up and stuff for daavats, it’d be nice to know how to do my own make up properly (I’m NOT thinking of doing my bridal make up - just to clear that up!)

So, what do people think?

I am sure its good, but its just 3 hours?

Re: MAC make up course in London - should I go?

My friend did another groupn on deal one with standart acadamy - and it was all theory, all the basic stuff we read about in magazines over three hours.

The teacher then just used one face to show how to do looks.

I think its good if you're not used to doing make up - but if you are okay with most of the basics then these short courses may be a waste

having said that, this course may be more hands on? I saw this deal but was put off after my friends experience.

I would totally do it! I plan on taking a course to kind of get the hang of the basics, I want to do my own wedding makeup as well know how to do it later on too. I highly suggest you do it, I wish there was something like that where I live.

I'm not sure. If you don't mind paying £49 then go for it.

I'm pretty sure these things are made especially for groupon. It's not like an already running successful business. They create them to advertise on groupon so that they still make a profit offering them at this price, which means you probably won't do much. And I doubt the instructors will be anything special.

Their website doesn't look too great either.

p.s. they just mention mac to attract you. it's not a MAC course. they just say they give a MAC goody bag when you leave...it could be one eyeshadow.
