If you're in Lahore, you can get Mac products from Al-Fatah market; also there's a few stores in Liberty, like VIP cosmetics that sell Mac/estee lauder/clinique stuff. Also , there's a store in Y-block in Defense, called Rang Cosmetics or something similar. I don't knw the exact names, but i know it's behind PotPurri. If you're in USA, I think it'd be easier to buy MAC products from here because it's cheaper. An eyeshadow would cost $15 from Macy's, whereas in Lahore it would cost $25+ (once u convert the amt).

As far as brushes are concerned, I use brushes that I bough at Wal-Mart for like $1.99 and have never had any problems with it. I don't think there's anything special about MAC brushes where it's worth paying $25+ for 1 single brush.

Mac is fab! I use their make up and most of my brushes r by Mac and Shu Uemera. Shu Uemera do good brushes as well.

Mac, shu uemura, trish Mcevoy make good brushes. Good brushes do make a difference and are in a sense good investment if u r really into makeup.
Mac's eyeshadows are considered as one of the best, staying power ,texture and colour range wise.But there are some other brands also which are cheap and compareable.
25$/1500 Rs for one Mac eyeshadow in pak........tooooooooooooooooo much .

I swear by MAC make-up. Rarely use anything else.
And yes...I have a set of MAC brushes. I don't find that any of the brushes other than the foundation brush are worth what I paid for them. I have other brush sets that cost a lot less but work just as well.
The foundation brush from MAC though, is worth it's weight in gold.

I tried one by Shu umera which was pricey but it was too thin…i didnt like how the foundation went on. However i then bought a MAC one which was so much better. I remember MAC make up being cheaper in Canada than in London. I bought loads of MAC stuff when i was last in Canada. Everythings so expensive here!

MAC makeup is awesome, especially for people with yellow tone skin color (most desi folks). Estee Lauder I find has more pink tones for whiter people.
Anyways the NC compact powders are awesome. I thought the brushes were too expensive. I just use brushed I got in Rite Aid and they are good as well. But yes I agree MAC eyeshadows and the creme ones as well are awesome! Lipsticks are good as well.

i bought a mac brush on the weekend…it is wonderful amazing te marvellous…took me like only 15mins to paint the whole drawing room…

It's great because of the its thickness, durability and the way it feels in my hand (i.e. the grip is comfortable). Also because the bristles don't bend away when I stroke the foundation on.
And even though it's quite expensive, around $40 CDN, I have saved so much in the cost of foundation (because no product gets absorbed by an applicator sponge) that it's paid for itself over and over.
