I don't know that song, but if i'm not mistaken it had a lovely song which went something like 'tujhse naraaz nahin ai zindagi hairan hoon, pareshan hoon..'
the movie is absolutely amazing!
songs...
well Gulzar's one of my favourite contemporary lyricists, and he's given such beautiful songs in this movie!!...
from the mellow poignant "Do naina ik kahaani" to the emotive "Tuujh se naraaz nahi zindagi"
from the exuberant liveliness of "Huzoor iss qadar bhi" to the comical "Lakri ki kaathi".
Lakri ki kaathi was my fav. childhood song... and the rest today are in my favourites music compilation.
alas! movies of that calibre are history now.
I rate this as my favortie movie, as for the dramas, i love DHOOP KINARAY.
couldn't help myself, but recommend some songs from Gulzar and notably, the corresponding movies that I have seen are very impressive!
Tujh se naraaz nahi zindagi
Do naina ik kahaani
Woh shaam kuuch ajeeb thi
Aane wala pall jaane wala hai
naam guum jaaye ga, chehre ye badal jaaye ga
phir woh raat hai
musaafir hooN yaaroN
Is mod se jaate hain
Tum aagaye ho
Tere bina zindagi se
Hazaar raheN muur ke dekheeN
Mera kuuch samaan
yaara seeli seeli
chorh aaye hum woh galiyaaN
Karina,
if you liked "tujhse naraaz nahi",
and you liked "Lekin" :) then you ought to watch Gulzar's movies
...some of the ones I know of:
Ijaazat, Lekin, Koshish, Aandhi, and Mausam.

I'll add to this list,a great comedy flick by the master director Gulzar :-Angoor.Simply died laughing watching this one.
Re: maasoom
Did you forget Urmila Matondkar (the baby girl Winky?) or did you omit her name on purpose.
Yes, a master piece indeed. Just saw the movie again over the weekend and though I had seen it before, just couldn’t help those frequent out bursts of laughter. Wonderful!

Umar, I've seen them all but long back. Rudali was another movie that had good music and story. And Meera. Can't remember any more.:)
'Huzur is kadar bhi na itra ke chaliye' - one of my all time fav. song and and an excellent movie by Shekhar kapur.
