I just watched a couple of previous episodes of this show..first one i liked it..its kinda funny when they all start to argue.
There was this one episode whre a secretary and sum other worker of the office were on opposing side..whre they argued bout how the boss treats his sec. like his g/f and stuff..It was truly hilarious! At the end the show was all ruined and the call frm the boss was So fake..
Which makes me think that the whole show is just fake and not real at all..!
I like Zainab Q in acting and modeling..but as a host...she suckS!

I also watched that episode. It’s a 100% drama. Everyone has a script that he/she enacts. Everything from top to bottom is fake. ZQ will ruin her an othewise OK career because of this programe. I have even heard people saying this and complaining during phones-in on the channel itself, but the TV is not ready to accept that it’s a (disgusting) drama. They say it is a rubbish show, oops — I mean, reality show.

i saw this one episode where the guy don't want her chacha to get married to her mother in law and in the end teh chacha slaped the guy and it was so fake that i was really LOL'ing. he he

Saw the Chaacha episode. I don't know why you guys say it is fake, it looked very real to me. And I also disagree that ZQ's career will nosedive. Before this show, she was a run of the mill model but now she will have name recognition and in the showbiz world, that is all that matters.
I felt very sick after watching this show (as if someone had lifted an open sewer) and my family was divided on whether such topics and family affairs are best suited to TV debates and whether the moderator should blatantly take sides.
It is actually interesting TV.

this show is fake cuz one of the guest in the show was in some drama.. i dont know her name and i havent really since her in any other shows but she does act. Maachis is all fake… and it sucks

agreed…one time i was watching it and it showed how this one woman in the same workplace was getting paid more than a C.A. when she only had a B.A. however later on…ZQ started asking her intimitating questions about her degreee…and her acting..OMG i cud do better acting than her…and u find out that in fact she doesnt have a degree but she has something going on with the boss…soo retarded

She said she had a master's degree when she only had a B.A. I always heard about how hot ZQ is and that she's the only Pakistani model with international recognition.I was pretty surprised after I saw the show.She didnt look hot to me from any angle!The way she screams..Seems pretty Jaahil to me.The show is Okay.It is definitely fake but atleast it puts light on some of our cultural issues.Not that we need any.Oh well..yes it does kindda suck but I'd say its not a bad effort.Jerry Springer isn't any better.Its equally disgusting.

i agree i used to really like her b4 but after i watched Machis i dont really like her... she acts really rude and mean at times...she should really control herself b4 ppl start hating her.

i agree it does touch upon imp topics that are usually concealed and need to be dealt with...but why thru the means of like jerry springer or so?...and the show never comes up with a solution...its just bash each other out type thing...

This is what i have written to the people responsible (Prime TV)...
Good day Sir/Madam,
I am a third year BA student in Canada (Major political science, minor in business Studies). I am a regular viewer of Prime TV and have been watching Prime TV relatively more (instead of Geo and ARY) due to the political and social views/stance. However, I was very disappointed and disgusted by the so called REALITY show Maachis (on Saturdays). I am sorry to say this but it is very embarrassing to have people (non-Pakistani) watching this show and laughing at Pakistani culture, media and the Pakistani nation as a whole. This show has been criticized by more than a few dozen of my relative, friends and family friends. As a matter of fact, the whole issue of discussing personal issues (like these ones) does not attract viewers but repel them. After all, people are not interested in knowing what goes on in some RANDOM person's life (although the cases debated may be true to some degree, there are no logical arguments presented to debate them - it is just people screaming at each other and the host jumping in to make it worst!). More than a reality show it seems as if they were paid to perform at the show. Moreover, the host (Zainab Q?) just makes is worst with her arguments and opinion; (I am sorry about the personal attack) but she does not seem to possess any intellectual knowledge - general knowledge or common sense as a host. Finally, this show or "REALITY" show must be stopped or the whole concept needs to be changed, since it is a clear degradation, embarrassment and humiliation of Pakistani customs and values. It is very exaggerated and extravagant idea, making it an extremely pathetic concept show!
Once again, I am sorry for the critique and the language I have used (or personal attack), however they are my true opinion and perceptions that are aimed to help Prime TV in its assessment and evaluation of its programs etc. Therefore, please do consider in take this issue and request seriously, since the show is just an awkward representation of the Pakistani culture.
Your prompt attention to this matter is appreciated.

All , the issues arises from Maachis surely are not liked by anyone and this program is not encouraging people to go allout on tv with personal matters. There must be compulsive reasons to bet on their own prestige.
issues exits in society, covering under the carpet will not help anyone, plus this also shows ills of the society taboos and how some people are being taken for granted.
we dont accept this in the show casue firstly we are ignorant of our real society and issues that arises and most of the time less powerfull gender is to be target by their own gender or the opposite or the families.
I have only one issue if some one want confidentiality they should be given, so the focus should remain on the issue not on the person.
otherwise this is a good show and i dont think its a fake. its only we a small segment of the society who mostly live abroad or in urban middle class and up wards. they think its fake they haven came across such society which 70% of Pakistan.
