Malik - I hate Malik anyway...he should be out of the team for good.
Younis Khan : 62 test matches - 32 years old
Mohd Yousef - 88 teat matches - 35 years old.
Maybe the young boys are not match winners yet but at least they`re young and dont play politics. Your Y.Khan and M.Yousef have played 62 test matches and 88 test matches. My question remains, which match did they win with their batting?
And more importantly, when did they win a match in England or Australia for us??
You still havent said how many of these 30 and 36 odd matches have they won for Pakistan. Want an answer 00000000.
I am not going to do a cricinfo search for you but you can do that yourself and if you dont know how many matches these two have won or saved for Pakistan than you dont know much about Paksitan cricket.

Couple of corrections...
Younis - 36 years old
(refer to his famous blunder when he announced in his retirement presss conference that it is hard to concentrate on T-20 when you are 34-35..per cricinfo profile he was 31 then!!! That script should still be available on Google…)
Molana Yousaf....at least 39 years.
(official birth certificate was never prepared, so one has to rely on his family members' memories and some anecdotal evidences such as yousaf was born the same year in which Mooda Qasai's buffalo also had a baby! Or it was the same year in which Sheeda Masalli’s 10th daughter ran away from home…..)
^ Come on, these are the living legends of Pakistan cricket. Names you'll hear til eternity. What have Yousuf done for Pakistan, a pathetic avg of 53.
I am not saying he isent a good player. He is but he is not a great player He is not a match winner. When Miandad, Anwar or Inzamam got 100s more often than not we would win. Not the case with Yousuf.
Also, he has 1 test hundred from 2007 to 2010. That too against Sri Lanka. He is no solution to our problems!

Already answered that. I said maybe they are not match winners...YET.
But they will be.
What they have going for them is also that they are young, not-selfish and they dont play politics.
Both the Y's are neither match winners nor are they young anymore.

The birth certificates get printed on a daily basis for the Maulvis:) Depends how old they want to be on certain days!
you know what I am afraid of...if malik doesn't get axed and yousuf and malik are both part of the team...then its going to start politics and differences all over again! we know well enough that these two don't get along at all!

When you compare Yousuf or for that matter Younis with past greats, keep one thing in mind.
Those past greats when performed, had a strong bowling attack to complement their batting efforts. As a result the overall result was mostly positive and thus people used to remember those batting efforts.
On the other hand, during the phase when Younis and Yosuf performed with the bat, often those performances went unnoticed since their efforts were not supported by mediocre bowlers (Sami, Razzaq, Rana etc) and the overall result of the games was mostly not in favor of Pakistan, thus a lot of their efforts didn't turn into match winning efforts.
First Salman is not 35 years old
Second, Farhat recently helped us break the 15 year old jinx against Australia :o, not that I am his fan.
You oughta be kidding about Azhar, Umar Amin helping to win
Umar Akmal, Malik should be out IMO.
Unfortunately it was same player who ridiculed his own players when he was captain, he was not top scorer but still claimed to be the ‘best in-form batsman’, ridiculed technique of other players etc… I mean how low can you go as a captain?
and now you want same player to come back as batsman under one of the players he ridiculed, what chemistry are we planning for?
Besides, that was 2006, what was his batting like after that?

Do yo have any other option. The current lot cant even put together a score of 100. The current brilliant batting line up, if you have not noticed, has to rely on bowlers to avoid follow on. Who needs Yousef, of course he will upset the current powerful batting line up by scoring some decent runs and oops heaven forbid he might even score a century, what will happen than, our current illustrious batting lineup will be embarrassed. We cant have that now can we? We should stick to the current line up and hope our bowlers will bat long enough to avoid at least the follow on. That is the least they can do after bowling out the opposition cheaply.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has contacted British High Commission (BHC) for issuance of visa for Test cricketer Mohammed Yusuf, Geo News reported Monday.
However, despite all this, Yusuf’s chances of inclusion in playing 11 before second Test match seem bleak.
PCB has resolved to immediately send Mohammed Yusuf to England after historic defeat of Pakistan cricket team but owing to incomplete traveling documents, Yusuf may not make his come back before second Test.
Sources said Yusuf possesses UK’s visit visa, which disallows him to play cricket there.
PCB is hopeful for issuance of Yusuf’s sports visa by Tuesday while he will fly England on first available flight.
It was same current lot who scored 258 and 180 against Australia in England Ehsan bhai, as much as you want Yousuf, I also want him but then looking at recent history of Yousuf with the team he may score a 50 or 100 or 0 but he surely will destroy the unity (of whatever remains with having Malik in the camp).
I think you got the point what was meant by that statement. One can easily counter by saying that they required the help of tailenders to avoid the follow on. So arguments can run either way but I think even with your extreme optimism you cannot say this is a strong batting line up and yes Yousef is better than all of the current ones.
I feel that all of this is useless. Yusuf was in bakvaas form before he retired. I have not read any reports of him playing any first class cricket in the last few months.. has he? Because of these 2 points it does not make sense to me at all. It's a big gamble. On the other hand the NEGATIVE impact of having Yusuf back is a certainty. More dressing room dramas and politics.
What happens if Yusuf scores under 20 runs in both innings and Pak lose again? Do you kick him out? What if he plays all series without making any significant contribution and Pak lose 0-3 or something? Do you kick him out?
