There should be no consequences if you say you plan on helping to kill innocent people? It also states she tried to donate to their cause.
Re: "Lyrical terrorist" charged in England
she's sick and needs help. seriously, she needs to be cleansed of this sick thinking and ideology. I hope her parents make the most of this opportunity and have a talk with her about what being a Muslim really means. I'm sick of such ppl like her who always become the shadow of shame for their families and the rest who want nothing to do with such notions about the teaching of a peaceful faith, for they're nothing but words of a man who thinks he has decoded the holy book. Shame on her for thinking such stuff. She should've looked more into reading Quran than following some 'lyrics'......
Just curious though.....how did it all start? like why were the cops at her house to begin with though?....
Re: "Lyrical terrorist" charged in England
possessing some of the extreme literature is an offence under new terror laws. thats what shes been done for. i get the impression she wasnt a terrorist, but then again its not my job to judge. shes in for a heavy custodial sentence. i think possessing some of these literatures should be a criminal and arrest-able offence but a more serious charge relating to terrorism should only be made after evaluating the individuals actual risk to public safety.
im sure many people like samina have a fascination with terrorism. the amount of tv coverage its had over the last decade guarantees it. throw in the political issues often mis-aligned with terrorists and you can see millions of people wanting the terrorists to win.
to get rid of this problem, the authourities need to counter the perception that the west discriminates against muslim countries politically by changing their foreign policy. its something the uk muslim community have mentioned in the past, but the minister in charge at the time labled it an extremist ploy. although other ministers have different views about it, previous governments have been happy to let this situation get worse. if their happy with it then lets just watch the saminas, lyrical terrorists, and other potential artists roll in

Did she plan on it? Or express an interest in what it would be like?
As for plans on materially supporting said groups, I'm sorry...so far terror cases against people like her (and I cite the gang rounded up in Toronto) often start with such claims...but later on turn to be baseless. Again...did she actually commit the crime...or was she thinking about it...or was it some kind of misguided bravado in hopes to incite?
A Blackwater employee she is not. I don't see her as a mercenary in training...
So far, crimethink is an apt description...she is under arrest for thinking a certain way and possessing information that's already out there in the public domain. Not for any act she did or had a planed to carry out...
Re: “Lyrical terrorist” charged in England
tomorrow someone will fart loudly and government will charge him.her as a FARTING TERRORIST. when will this nonsense stop? so its ok now to prosecute people based on what they THINK? thats just pathetic.

After how British-bred Pakistanis bombed the Tube 2 years ago, they have every right to scrutinize Muslims if they aren’t willing to live peacefully with others.

me too.
i don't see any reason to remove all those posts... and it would be nice if a reason was given in that PM thingy. I mean why would they send that email otherwise. Most people don't remember they posted in a particular thread after a few days. If you are going to remove the post, then do it quietly and there would be no heart burn caused to anyone. They send an email to tell us that our post is removed and don't give a reason for it.
