I do not know whether life is becoming fast but certainly more opulence. More and more people are getting spoiled by it. I remember 5 years ago, dial-up internet was the best thing and high-speed just reserved for the business. Nowadays, dial-up is a thing of old age and high speed is becoming more and more affordable for the masses.
What are some of your own the ‘than luxuries turned necessities of life’? Do you use it because you can afford it or because you are keen to it?
hah....a different creme for each different body part lol. like seriously. my grandma's survived without using eye revitalizing luminizer after using the eye makeup remover and the eye intensive moisturizer. so much clutter in our lives. I think mainly we use it because its readily available, everyone else is using it, we can afford it and advertisements are telling us to.
perfumes/body sprays/lotions anything that is related to smelling goooooooooood! I use it most of the time b/c I can afford it and the time when I couldnt afford it .. I got by by using my mom’s/bro’s/sis’s stuff :halo:
ok one thing that was a luxury before and a necessity now is expensive perfumes. when i was young i hardly use to use the perfume that i use now
but now i cant live without that perfume:( another thing that has become a necessity is a good expenisve mobile
peer pressure you know:( karna parta hai
my list is endless........................... seriously most of the times i've this thing in my mind that i'm getting certain stuff just for the sake of spoiling myself .........and still end up wasting money over it.
i think its got to me d latest digi cam and camcorder - im changing it every few months, cos i have a passion for photography - i think main reason being dat i can now afford to upgrade frequently and also thinking dat it will help me as part of my occupation gives me an excuse for regular treats as such...
I'd happily pack a bag, jump on a plane and live like a hippy on an island. I'd catch fish all day, sit under a palm tree, grow a beard and be a complete recluse. I'd be prefectly happy being cut off from the outside world, so long as there were a few natives whom i could sit around a bonfire with.
...ok, so my answer as gone off the rails abit, but you get the gist of what i am saying.
well i’d get just so much bored without internet to look for all he news and knowledge my brain is hungry for
and i’d get depressed without a good music to fill my brain with memories and dreams
and i’d get frozen without a good perfume and massage to uplift my mood:blush:
broadband, mobile phones, and technology in general got cheaper and entered to neccessity. If they had stayed the same level prices as 5 years ago. they would have been luxeries.
so its affordability coupled with peer pressure and dire interest in gadgets and perks.
