Lush's Henna- has anyone tried it?

So, I’m looking to enrich my natural hair colour, especially since it tends to lighten up in the summer making it look slightly dull :vivo:
I’ve never dyed my hair before so I don’t want to use anything with harsh chemicals in. I was considering henna but I’ve heard it can be really drying and most of the time harsh chemicals are added anyway. Then I came across henna from Lush, the ingredients are listed and they seem safe enough.

Has anyone tried it out? If so what colour did you use and what were the results like? Would anyone recommend henna for the hair anyway?

My friend tried it quite a few years back. She was happy with the results. You do have to use it like directed though and it seems like quite a laborious process involving cling film. Put aside a whole Sunday.

Thanks stoppit, as long as the results are good I'm willing to try it out. Apart from the colour change did she notice any other difference to her hair? Like did it improve hair texture, add more shine etc.

I've never tried it, a friend did. Like stoppit said it's a long, process and it made her hair really really dry.

aaaah i tried this expecting my hair to look beautiful. I got the caca rouge, maybe caca marron.. but yeah, left it on as directed, when I washed it off, no change :( The only thing that got dyed was my pillow.

However I have like REALLY black hair.. once my hairdresser tested a snip with blue hair dye.. and it turned a nasty green! It didnt work for me, but that doesn't mean it wont for you!
