Lush?

Anyone here has any experience with Lush products?

Re: Lush?

Yes, and they are amazing!!! I love their face masks and bubble baths and soaps etc. It all smells so yummy that you want to eat it. I bought a facial wash soap bar that was made out of coconut, it smelled sooooooo delicious that i couldnt help but lick it (tasted gross though) hehehe...oh and you must try their massage butter bars....oh and their deodrants are pretty cool too, The one I have is like the size of a soap, and you just rub it under your arms....pretty good stuff....hmmm their bath fizz bombs are very nice too, just drop one in hot water bath and watch it fizz away and melt all your aches and pains away....

when i am feeling down, i walk into their store and spend ages just smelling different products and testing (and tasting) them. I walk out with a smile on my face :)

Re: Lush?

I don't like smelling their stuff in their stores; it makes me want to throw up. Their products are amazing though. I love love love their Big shampoo and American Dream conditioner. My mom loves their toners.

Re: Lush?

LOL aw...so you use some of their products for skin? what kind of skin do you have? and do you think these products will be too harsh for sensitive skin?

Re: Lush?

I LOVE THEIR SOAPS i just had a co-worker run into them in canada, i wasn't even aware they had that in victoria. She remembered me going on about their products and gave me this soap that smells lemon and fresh sexy something is the name of it. (i unwrapped it a long time ago and put it to good use!) but i love lush products. I only wish we had one in texas.

Re: Lush?

they are all natural ingridients, i dont think they can ever do bad to sensitive skin. their all products are so damn gentle to the skin, trust me!

Re: Lush?

bdw any recommendation for facial soaps? they seem to have more of body ones

Re: Lush?

My skin suffers from acne, but with medications etc it has cleared up Alhamdulillah! So I would say that my skin is pretty sensitive, although it is a combination where I have sligtly oily T zone and normal cheeks and chin etc.

I love their masks. try the chocolate one and their mud masks are good too. they really draw out all the impurities.

Re: Lush?

GlossBlushLiner: Even I suffer from acne (T zone) where the skin is oily and the rest is fine. What medication do you use? Also, Ive noticed that everytime i get my eyebrows done, i get pimples there :( And the ones on my forehead are leaving scars...what do you use for it?

Re: Lush?

I was prescribed a topical lotion called dalacin T. It has worked wonders! I never thought I would get compliments on my skin. I used to get acne on my chin area and on my cheeks, more towards the ears and some on forehead. Now my skin has totally cleared up, all i have left are a few scars which are fading over time. i use Aapri scrub which is very good for exfoliating my skin. Speak to your doctor to see what he can prescribe for you, but personally I tried everything you can think of to get rid of my acne, from acid peels to microdermabrasions etc etc and nothing worked for me so gave up and went to see the doctor who presrcibed this stuff.

Re: Lush?

I was prescribed that too but it didnt work at all! I used to apply it at one spot and the acne used to die down the next morning but another pimple would pop up right next to the old died one:s

I have the apricot scrub and have gotten quite lazy about using it-i think i should get back to it. Besides that, ive tried the Himalaya Neem face pack and an apricot facemask which REALLY clears up the pores and makes skin look fresh! But can only use it oce a week cuz it dries the skin...

How often should one get a facial or bleach done?

Re: Lush?

With Dalacin I have been applying it across my cheeks, chin and forehead, and not just concentrating on individual spots. There are no adverse affects of putting it on skin that doesnt have acne, atleast i didnt experience any. I used to apply it like you would apply toner, be fairly liberal with it and apply it every time you wash your face. It took me 6 weeks before i began to notice a difference but then once I did begin to notice a change, my skin cleared up immediatley, like within 4 weeks. I still use it once in a week to keep things at bay. i used to cover up acne with lots of foundation and concelares etc, but now I can walk out of the house without foundation... also have you tried minocylin tabs? I had those to clear off acne on my back.

I would recommend using scrub twice in a week. using it too often will damange your skin. I bleach every 8 weeks. and face mask once a week. It depends on individuals skin really. Mine behaves quiet well thses days so I dont feel the need for regular masks etc....

Re: Lush?

But thats UK weather madam:p Less dust, less grime, and no bijli going:p

I used to apply dalacin only on the acne, and it was gone by the next morning! I think i should try using it again (Since it was effective, and i still have 3 months to my wedding)

How often do you think one needs a facial? I dont get bleach done too often (once in 6 months) and have only gotten a dermalogica facial once in my life (a day before my Nikah) and it made my skin glow and look super healthy! But im not sure whether i should have it done this month and then in dec, or should i just get a bleach abhi (cuz that does help my acne die down)
