LUSH Henna Hair Bricks

I saw mention of these somewhere here in F&B ( I think it was @redvelvet)..does anyone else have any experience using these?

I’m contemplating trying these out. It’s a minimal investment money wise, and is natural chemical free product. My natural hair color is neither jet black, nor brown. It’s kind of in between if that makes sense lol. Which henna brick should I go for? And do you think this can be used to give peek a boo highlights type of look?

Re: LUSH Henna Hair Bricks

The rouge one I have read will turn your hair a vibrant red, but that's for hair that's lighter to begin with. I do not think you'll notice much of a diff with the brun. So, I would guess ..and it's just a guess..that you either go with marron or rouge. It's best to ask the people who work there, they will let you know. The texture of the hair might feel kind of strange when washing, but that goes away fast. It does add shine to hair. I used the noir cuz I wanted my hair to be darker. For medium length hair 2 pieces will produce enough henna...don't go more than three of you'll end up making too much. See how much henna 2 pieces make first...before adding a third piece. It will be messy (sink and tub etc), be prepared for some scrubbing. Chop into small pieces so they dissolve in the warm water more easily.

It worked for me, so I would repurchase it and maybe try another color next time. Hope it works out for u.

Do your experiment with your hair?

^^Corrallista tried the caca brun. You can see the before and after. I don’t know if brun is lighter than marron or the other way around. Go for the one that produces a lighter brown and ask about the rouge.

Re: LUSH Henna Hair Bricks

Thanks RV...I'm going to check it out soon and I'll report back. I don't really care for a vibrant reddish color, so I think I'll try the caca marron, and see what that does.

Re: LUSH Henna Hair Bricks

You want a noticeable brown color? So go for the one which produces a lighter brown shade instead of a dark brown shade. I'm not sure whether it's brun or marron that would do that. You can clink on the link i posted and if you like the results of the brun..then u can try that.

Re: LUSH Henna Hair Bricks

That’s pretty subtle..I think I can handle that lol. I’m pretty chicken about my hair. I don’t like drastic changes and have never colored/highlighted.

Do you think the results are different on naturally curly hair?

Re: LUSH Henna Hair Bricks

I think that results have more to do with the initial color than the texture. So whether your initial color is darker or lighter will influence how dark or light the henna results will be...but straight or curly imo wouldn't have a bearing.

The first two times I used caca noir, my hair was straight. Later on Igot my hair permed and it didn't influence the color. I can't recall if I applied the henna before perming or after...buy the curls didn't affect the henna.

Re: LUSH Henna Hair Bricks

They give nice color and soft shine. I've wanted to try them too. Ask your local store if they'll apply it for you. Sometimes they will.
