I am getting interested in natural body products. It seems LUSH is all natural. Do you guys use any such lines and know about other lines?
The amount of chemicals in all the stuff that I put on my skin is beginning to scare me.
What about some desi totkas?
Re: LUSH and other natural cosmetic/body care lines
You have to be patient with desi todkas but natural things from brands such as Lush is good enough i guess to was face etc and you can use desi todkas for other treatments..though I think that the good and reputable brands are changing their ingredients and making them beneficial for the skin...a lot of the people use such products and that have been beneficial as well...
Body shop, Jarlique, Bare Escentuals and there are some more as well..
Re: LUSH and other natural cosmetic/body care lines
the less ingredients in a product, the better. Lush is very nice, but it depends on your skin type, i used to try their moisturizers and they were really really nice, as well as their face masks, but now i make my own with besan haldi and yoghurt and it's as good if not better.
bear in mind that some "natural" ingredients can be as harmful, and a lot of the brands use essential oils but they can clog your pores and some people react to them, so it's always safer to read the ingredient list.
DR Haushka is good if you have dry skin. The body shop is not a natural/organic brand, they just use a few natural ingredients and advertise to make it look like it is, i personally use their aloe vera toner which is amazing.

Oh really, I was using their aloe cream which is good too...so i thought they're all natural.

The problem with stuff from Lush is that because it's literally hand made.. some of the products need refrigerating or they'll go off.. i.e. they don't have the same shelf life as others. I like the brand 'Simple' for skin care :)
Re: LUSH and other natural cosmetic/body care lines
I used to use Lush in my early 20’s. I don’t know why but I got fed up of it. Now I just use regular stuff which some natural additions.
I’ve posted this many times before but I love this place:http://www.naturallythinking.com/
Their stuff is such good quality but not expensive. The witch hazel and rose water hydrolats I use as toners and they are ‘true’ floral waters. I’ve bought their tea tree oil and and use the Rosehip oil daily - great for dry skin and fading pigmentation. Anyone wanting to fade scars, acne scars, should give it a go. I also purchased their marine collagen moisturiser to give it a try, it’s been a while now and I’m liking it. That’s made me want to try some of their other products. Since I’ve given quite a few people I know small bottles of rosehip (I bought small dropper bottles for this) and they really liked it, I’m thinking of buying a few different oils and making mixtures for various applications.
