Re: Lungi ke dushman

HAHAHAHAHHA

Re: Lungi ke dushman

Actually there is a reason for this and it is good they banned it. Might seem funny to you people but these people used to wear the lungi without any underwear and it was highly inappropriate. Most of the times the cloth used for the lungi is see through. That is highly inappropriate as well. I am glad they banned it.

Re: Lungi ke dushman

Rashed in Sharjah there is a rule about skirts as well. No one can wear a skirt which is not knee length or full length. Mini skirts or micros etc are definitely not allowed. Please be informed about the rules before stating and laughing on it next time.

Details have been censored

Re: Lungi ke dushman

I do not know why they banned it.But it is a comfortable attire for me and I wear it everyday. Its good when used during hot times. One can just fold it and wrap it around just above the knee .In South India ,it is an almost official attire.

Re: Lungi ke dushman

and when u feel cold in the night u can use it as blanket :omg:

Exactly.

Have I stated anything wrong? It's just like I said. Skirts aren't banned.

There are some regulations for the skirt wearing women. So it means that they could pretty much do the same for the Lungi wearers of Sharjah. i.e. Instead of banning Dhotis and Lungis they could make people who don't wear any underwear put on some underpants. LOL

Don't Gulf Arabs just wear a Wizar (underskirt) without any other underpants under the Dish-Dashah anyway?
Some don't even wear any underskirts under the Dish-Dashah. :p

Anyway, so maybe the Lungi-wearers should wear a longer "Kurta"? LOL

I haven't seen any ''see through'' lungi :D . . . Even if you look at the picture in the news , the people wearing lungi are all well covered . Even in Ehram we are not suppose to wear underwear , but still it covers us . I think one should be allowed to wear anything as long as he/she is well covered and not offending anyone else .

Re: Lungi ke dushman

i think they should have kept some conditions about the kind of loongi one can wear, but banning it is completely wrong, after all it’s a cultural thing and south asians have a right to wear it…this is as bad as other countries not allowing scarves in schools etc…

complete violation of human rights:nook:

Re: Lungi ke dushman

lungi banned  : Never going to Sharja now :snooty:

Re: Lungi ke dushman

^ :omg:

Re: Lungi ke dushman

Wearing a lungi does not come under human rights. They can wear shorts or other things. Jeez, people can't stop getting judgemental can they. Ehram and lungi are two different things NaMaan. Ehram is made of thicker material which is opague. Lungi is made of a thin cloth which is see through.
