lunchboxes

I am boycotting my company cafeteria, the food there was always overpriced, poor selection and variety, but then after they decided to ‘improve’ it and gave it to this new company, its really gone downhill.. the salad bar is less than half the size it was just 2 years ago, no fruits exc

going out to eat is expensive, plus often i don’t have the time to do that.

so, I am going old school and going to start packing lunch, but not just sandwiches and a drink. and thus the search for a good lunch box begins.
insulation in general is not a huge factor because my drive into work is 30 mins and have a refrigerator at work.

I am currently looking at these 4, let me know if you know any others that are decent. I am going to buy one within a few days.

Re: lunchboxes

I like the plastica, number 2.

When I was searching for lunch boxes for the kids, I came across something pretty neat. Lemme find the link.

Re: lunchboxes

yeah plastica is a combo bentobox and desi tiffin. kind of a zen old school mix.
i do want to keep containers separate so this seems very convenient.
so far that is the top choice in terms of space, convenience and ergonomics
like the other bento but not sure how I will carry it

Re: lunchboxes

Less spillage. Neat.

The other one I saw was this briefcase type thing... I think for kids, with compartments for a carb, a protein, fruits, snack... Kinda cute... Forgot the name... It's a lunch box system.

Re: lunchboxes

No. 2 is fine.

Re: lunchboxes

I like the first bento a lot. I think I might get that one and I don’t even have anywhere to go! :cb:

I like the neat little trays. The second one looks like a tiffin and is suuuuuper cute.

The second bento is really neat looking but I don’t see any handles or way to carry it.

Re: lunchboxes

3 is microwave safe

2 is not, even though I really like it otherwise.

I slide these into my business bag. For some reason I never liked lunch boxes…

Re: lunchboxes

My husband has a tall upright kinda lunch box in which i put a plastic water bottle, and pyrex containers for food. It also accomodates his breakfast and fruit for the day. Works fine for us although its nothing fancy. The bottom has a zipper for the pyrex and teh top has a zippered area for the water and other stuff.
