E2050, how about put things like shami kebabs, steamed chicken or simple things like that in the freezer and use it when required? u can also get halal chicken/beef burgers and make them the night before (if its too hard in the morning) and this can all be used for sandwiches?
Sandwiches: egg fryed, cheese spread, lettuce. another one i do is cold meats cheese spread and a little salad. he doesn’t like tuna, but i make tuna for myself sometimes, some tuna, salt n pepper mixed into mayonnaise and some salad.
same as chicken, idont go out of my way to boil chicken for his sandwiches, but i chop any peices i have left over, smother them in mayo, bit of s+p and some salad and he’s a happy man
samosa or kebabs of any sort, i put in a bun, usually spread a little chutney on the bun, maybe some ketchup too, and with samosa, i break it in like 2 pieces to fit the roll and thats it!!!
i dont have the time to make him fancy stuff:snooty:
thats an exception and NOT the RULE!...in our culture women do it for fear...they do it coz they think and believe its their DUTY...why doesn't HE do it for HER...u may say ur husband does it...he may be among a few exceptions...the rule is...women are slaves to MEN in their own homes...like it or not, believe it or not!
Ok this is incorrect and i am the eye witness here. Well i have no experience yet as a wife (not married)...... But I have seen my dad packing and preparing lunchs for my mom cuz they have different work schedules.....So please correct your way of thinking and i do feel sorry for your wife or(to be one) ......no offense....Everybody has a right to express their opinion.!!!!!!
And for those wives who prepare lunch for their husband is a expression of their love not the expression of being slave!!!!!!
What a noble thought... what is he, a 10 year old?
no he is not a 10 years old boy ...but i am a house wife and he is a working man...so if i prepare lunch box for him ..whats the big deal....i dont know whats wrong if a wife prepare her husband's lunch box...
doesnt your mom or dad do something for you..like serve food, do your laudary , cook for you or any kind of work..does that mean you are a 10 years old kid.
Feed him good breakfast, let him eat lunch out and enjoy life outside the lunch box. Prepare a healthy and tasty dinner and then if in mood, dessert later on. Thats all MEN need, boys take lunch boxes to school, not work.

...we live in usa and the area where he work, doesnt have any halal restaurant near by and he dont like eating vegetables everyday..so whats the big deal if he brings lunch from home and heat it in the microwave..and yea most people who works brings lunch from home ....dont you know that
sandwiches and wraps usually work best. here is what I make for him on Saturdays since that's when I'm not working
you can make the below chicken mixture in advance and freeze it. this is the receipe for enchiladas that I got off of the food network quite a few years ago and have made it my own.
1/4 boneless chicken
handful of frozen corn
1 tomato or 1/4 can of diced tomatoes w/ juice
1/2 small onion finely chopped
1/2 tsp ground cumin and oregano
in a pan fry the onions until they are translucent. Dump the shredded chicken and corn along with salt, crushed red peppers (to your taste) cumin, oregano and tomatoes. Let it sit on low heat for about 10-15 minutes until everything has become soft and sort of mixed into each other.
You can let the above mixture cool and freeze it for later use.
Here is what I do w/ the above. I am sure you can find some other creative ways for it too.
Buy the whole wheat pita pockets, finely shredded Fiesta blend/mexican blend cheese packet, Ortega's taco sauce (I get the mild kind) and sour cream.
take out he mixture from freezer, and let it thaw in the refrigerator or stick it in the microwave for about a minute.
Take the pita pocket, spoon in some taco sauce, add the chicken mixture and top it off with the shredded cheese.
Turn on frying pan on low-med heat, add a little bit of EVOO and "fry" 2 pita pockets at a time. You are just lightly browning them and letting the cheese melt really and not doing any deep frying by any means so feel free to use the Pam spray.
I give him 4 pita pockets and that is enough to keep him stuffed ;-) and my process might seem very long but it is super easy breezy!
