Any ideas/suggestions..? provided that my husband have to spend lot much time (12-13 hrs) in office, couldnt take sandwiches/burgers etc…
Would I do is give him leftover rice, khichri, biryani.. or roll allo ki tikis/shami kabab along with some salads, chutni and achar in a paratha..and roll it up in a foil paper… this week i took coneless chicken, marinate in vinegar, yogurt, salt, spices and cook until yogurt dries, and give it a smoke..would roll it in paratha… and yeah a readymade juice is a must!
Maybe it’s just me.. but at work I can’t stand the smell of spices.. most of them are Arabs and usually order subway or some junk. The smell of masala’s
if he spends 12-13 hours .. pack him two separate servings of meals, or a meal and some snacks .. fruit, yougurt, nuts, something like that ..my wife does that for me and it helps a lot
a tuna sandwich is always yummy. you can pack him one of kebab and one of tuna along with a box of salad. give him fruits along with it, yogurt, chocolate chip cookies, nuts.. mainly what he likes. you can even make him variety of salads everyday if he likes those.
tuna sandwiches love them! sandwiches , fruit yogurts and salads sounds nice...
I guess same meal every single day can be boring sometimes so just keep changing...
And it depends what ur hubby likes....
What do u guys do in Ramdan..? when hubby is at work, how do u guys manage that, esp for those living in UK, USA, canada etc...
I usually make my husband a sandwich, of either chicken or beef or cheese. And then with it I also include snacks like banana, apple, V8, cookies, granola bar, and then sometimes also grapes or carrots, or pudding, or cheese and crackers
i bring rotes sire chicken or chargha type of chicken eat it for dinner and pull out the chicken for lunch for both of us. you can stuff it manyways. tortilla. paratah, naan, bread. add mayo or any kind of sauce.
canned tuna with mayo.
deli with rye or wheat bread.
ramen noodles or maagi noodles cooked and than mixed with vege's and chinese spices, soya sauce vinegar etc.
slice of bread with cheese and veges.
fried rice. pea rice.
i sometimes give omelette's with 2 breads.
cereal with milk.
than stuff his lunch box with 2 types of fruits. any kind of juice or drink he likes.
some healthy nuts like almonds would go well.make sure to keep banana as it fills the tummy for a while. he can eat the bana with milk.
you can make fruit vanilla yogurt with apple, grapes an hint of walnuts.
you have so many choices but try to be easy that u don't have to do double work.the chargha thing works as u can add the chicken to anything.and that way he will have variety not to eat same thing daily.
I normally give him left overs from last nights in a sandwich eg, keema sandwich, chicken wraps, tuna salad sarnies, or i whip up a quick ommelette and put it in a sandwhich, add chillies and onions, base the sandwich with cheese and he loves it! He also loves all kinds of pasta, once a week a make a quick pasta dish which he can take...i include packets of nuts/dried fruits, a milkshake/pure fruit juice, sugar free yogurt a banana and some other fruits such as mango, watermelon or pineapple which he loves....
