Is there any one who has got some information about the LUMS MBA program??? Actually I am planning for it but I am a recent graduate with no prior work experience except just a six weeks internship. So I am really unsure whether I will be offered a place or not? As it is written on their website, they say “Work experience is preferred but not compulsory” and according to them they might also consider candidates with an exceptional academic track record complemented by a very high gmat score alongwith an experience of few internships only.
So anyone could help me on this? I graduated this year with a four year degree and my overall percentage was 80%. I assume I could get a nice score on the gmat as well but for work experience I cant do anything.
So should I apply this year or wait a year or so and apply later after generating some work experience…
LUMS or otherwise my suggestion to all MBA candidates would be to get atleast a few years work experience before getting in. You will get more out of the program, it will be better career wise etc.

Its very hard to get some experience before getting a degree in PK. LUMS's board of Governers belong to all sort of companies in PK. They have different kind of agreements with these companies so send their students to get some solid work experiene during & after the program.
but he has a degree right? a bachelors...and companies do hire ppl. i have a cousin who did his undergrad and is working with a multinational, and will go for his MBA in a few years.. all in Pakistan
