The Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) is currently in the process of setting up a School of Law and Policy for the provision of inter-disciplinary, cutting edge and socially relevant legal education in Pakistan. The proposed School will offer a unique five-year integrated BA/LLB programme of international quality.
LUMS is looking for a talented group of highly qualified, motivated and research- orientated individuals who are seriously interested in a career in legal academia. Selected candidates will form the team of full-time faculty required to build and run this highly exciting and path breaking programme.
Applicants should have:
Strong academic credentials from reputed institutions, preferably a PhD degree or an advanced stage of PhD candidacy.
Applicants with an LLM, equivalent Master’s degree or a JD degree are encouraged to apply.
LUMS will also entertain applications of candidates who have an LLB or an equivalent degree with at least five years of teaching experience at a reputable institution or at least ten years of high quality experience as a lawyer.
A demonstrable commitment to legal scholarship and teaching.
Quality publications/articles in Law journals.
