I’ve been reading about an eye medication called Lumigan (I think for Glaucoma). Patients who use it reported eyelash growth! So now its the newest rage in cosmetic medication.
Has anyone here tried it? My lashes are pathetic even with mascara. So I’m wanting to give it a try.
Olive oil also known to help eyelashes. If you have old/finished mascara bottle....take out the mascara wand and wash it thoroughly. Before going to sleep, put some olive oil on the wand and gently apply/coat your eyelashes.
There are many oils and conditioners which can help eyelashes because they condition the hairs, prevent breaking and splitting...but they dont really promote the lashes to actually grow. Lumigan apparently causes new lash growth and thicker longer hairs along the lash line.
I think I'm going to try to get it...if I do, I'll post back after I try it
hey ladies...beware of this product if you have light eye color and want to keep it that way..i have read that side effects of this med is that it darkens the eye color.. Permanently...
did you get it in the end? I just googled it and it comes up with this (LATISSE™ solution is a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis used to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker and darker)
^ I think Latisse is the FDA cosmetic approved version of Lumigan, it defo works but quite expensive and u need to keep using it for the effects to stay..
hmm just read more into it, you're only supposed to apply it to the upper lashes, and like you say if you stop using it, the effect go away. The side effects don't sound too nice either!
May cause blurred vision;
May cause eyelid redness;
May cause eye discomfort;
May cause a temporary burning sensation during use.
I get my Retin-A and Careprost from ADC…been using them for almost 4 years. Never had an issue.
*** Careprost (Latisse) is no diff. then any other medical product. It does have side effects so do your research and make sure you’re aware of the risks.

Practically every medication out there has potential side effects inc things we take without thinking twice like Nurofen, Aspirin etc.
I tried Lumigan (with none of the above side effects.. btw another one is possible darkening of the iris) but didn't have the patience to carry on with it so bk to false lashes for me - for now..
castor oil should work and it may be the ingredient in ASTRAL cream from boots or superdrug that makes my eye lashes grow.
cheap and safe to use around eyes.have been using it for a very loong time
Are you talking about castor oil? Most pharmacies are no longer stocking this because pregnant women used to buy bottles to help them speed up their labour. I think some smaller pharmacies still sell it though.
Its my personal expience, castor oil or even u can take dei oil mean desi ghee. both r really help in eye lash growth.
