LT General Pasha world's only spy master to feature in both lists!!

****Islamabad - (TheNews):- Due to retire on March 18 this year and bracing up to celebrate his 60th birthday on March 19, the incumbent ISI Director General, Lt. General Ahmed Shuja Pasha, is the only head of any international spy agency who had succeeded in finding a prominent slot in the “most powerful and influential people” rankings of both ‘Time’ and ‘Forbes’ magazines in 2011.General Ahmed Shuja Pasha was ranked 17th in the esteemed ‘Time’ magazine’s 2011 list of “100 most influential people” in the world, while he was placed at 56th position by the prestigious ‘Forbes’ magazine in its 2011 list of the “70 most powerful personalities” calling shots around the planet last year.
The New York-based ‘Time’ magazine, the world’s most widely circulated circulation weekly news magazine claiming a global readership of 25 million, had published a list of 100 most influential artists, activists, reformers, researchers, heads of state and captains of industry in its April 21, 2011 edition.
According to this particular ‘Time’ magazine edition, Lt. General Ahmed Shuja Pasha was rated ahead of US President Barack Obama, the American First Lady Michelle Obama, the French President Nicolas Sarkozy, the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Prince William and Kate Middleton of the UK Royal family, celebrated American media personality Oprah Winfrey, the Indian Cricket Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, British Prime Minister David Cameron, former US Army General and the sitting CIA Director David Petraeus, the Israeli Premier Benjamin Netanyahu, the renowned Indian tycoon Azim Premji and the late Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi’s son Saif-ul-Islam Qaddafi etc.
However, the 89-year old ‘Time’ magazine had ranked the ISI Chief General Pasha just behind the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, US Vice President Joe Biden and the Belgian Tennis icon Kim Clijsters etc.
According to Richard Stengel, the ‘Time’ magazine’s Managing Editor, the ideas of these 100 most powerful people in this journal’s 2011 list sparked dialogue, dissent and even revolution s at times.
This is what Richard Stengel had to say: “Influence is impossible to measure. It’s a little like what social scientists call the butterfly effect: the idea that a tiny change in one part of a system can yield gargantuan changes later on. But often this is a romantic illusion; large-scale changes occur only when great numbers of people become restive over time, just as people in the Middle East have been moved to shake off decades of authoritarian rule.”
