After being told by my management that am too young to be promoted to PD (Program Director). And not expecting any opportunity to come in the next couple of years. I thought, it would be a good idea to proceed with MBA (Part-Time, of course ), so applied in LSE (London School of Economics) and MBS (Manchester Business School), received good initial remarks and expecting a place from both universities by the end of this month.
So what you guys think, which one will be the better option for me.
Also Being EX UMIST (The University Of Manchester) Student, MBS is offering me a good discount, plus their time frame is better suited to my vacation/OFF schedule. And having lived 7/8 years in Manchester and tons of friends living there (including some MBS professors), part of me really wants to go for MBS, am really very confused.
I would say, LSE has a bigger name, at least here in the USA. However, you will probably know which will open more doors in your local market and industry.
I'm also super interested in knowing which is the better option and why- especially as an international student. London looks as if it is a better option however I'm sure it's also much more costly to live in compared to Manchester (or even Leicester)? And is the difference worth the experience?
Also not to digress, but if anyone has done an MBA or any other postgraduate studies in England as an international student, I'd much appreciate the feedback.

Manchester is known to be a student city and is much better place than Leicester. Manchester Uni aims to be top 25 unis in the world by 2015. They are spending huge around of new buildings, teaching, research.
Wow, I'll have to look at MBS in more detail. I was initially not going to consider it at all since the city isn't as jovial. But I will certainly review. Thanks CEO1.
Rankings can be superficial thus exact rankings are difficult to calculate.
I think overall, Manchester is > Leicester. As a city, its bigger, more cosmopolitan and is truly a student city. Ahead of London. London is too big to have that student feel, and has loads of unis spread across the city.
Besides Manchester is making huge strides overall, its only a matter of time Manchester takes over majority of UK unis in quality and quantity. They’ve built like 10 new buildings which are forefront of research etc..
Besides Manchester United and Manchester City > Leicester City (this is coming from a Liverpool fan)
