a concept that it as dynamic as one can ever think of it to be.
what are its qualities, who has the ability to show it and genuinely care for it?
when loyalty is lost or disregarded, what may happen?
how to sustain it?

Re: Loyalty
define boundaries of loyalty.
Re: Loyalty
unconditional trustworthiness especially in the times of hardship and risks.
Re: Loyalty
Everyone is loyal to ya in good times or when u r financially strong but vice versa doesn exist in this case.
when it comes to loyalty we should learn something from a DOG, who is much more loyal than a human being, when it comes to loyalty specially for their country, they should not even care for their lives when its about pakistan.
The title of this thread reminded me of those pakistanis who live abroad and bash pakistan 24/7 infront of ppl from other countries, shame be on em.
Loyal friend
Loyal Spouse
Loyal Nation
these 3 things can turn this earth into heaven, but its earth wat can u expect.
and when Loyalty is lost, i dont think that there is anyway to get it back, even if u do, others wont trust u anymore

tht last bit is very true, once u brake someone's trust there is no way u will get tht same respect again. No matter how hard u try....
Re: Loyalty
ecoshan, you make sense.
good to know, people have such thoughts.
it is true when Pakistan and Pakistanis are given the blanket statement of disloyalty, while we as expats are just that much party to this disloyalty, by not being there, is not right.
however, this is also true, maybe, by being in other countries, this is upon us, how we conduct our selves in countries here: i.e., not steal, lie, be dishonest at work, but show to everyone simply through our actions in our private and public lives, our civic participation, by abiding by civil and traffic laws, by being critical thinkers and fellow citizens to the native residents, by excelling in our careers and earning honest living, by raising children with a fair sense of balance between values of our origins and picked from the traditions here & by enabling ourselves to educate others about our virtues, because at the end of the day, all normal people would like a comfortable life while ensuring rights of all ofus, coexisting in the same local societal establishment, to not get violated by each other.
meanwhile, ove rtime, through our actions and reflections, we can share and influence thoughts and actions of others around us, be it family members or total strangers, and align their intentions to become considerate and fair as well.
