Well, the scenarios you mention differ somewhat from what Lowe’s did. Any sort of discrimination on public buses, at least in the US, would be a violation of the 14th Amendment and the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Similarly, any private business refusing to do business with a protected class, would also run foul of the Civil Rights Act.

All American Muslim is a commercial product, and it’s producers may or may not be Muslim. The Civil Rights Act protects consumers from being discriminated against in private businesses, but I don’t think producer’s of TV shows selling ad space in their programs to other businesses would fall under it’s protections. Also, just to be safe, Lowe’s predictably has stated that the pulling of the ad had nothing to do with the show being about Muslims.

In this case, the best thing we can do is completely ostracize Lowe’s and try to hurt them financially by refraining to do business with them, asking others to refrain, and to spread this agenda.

The scenario I mentioned was simply to illustrate a point. The legal aspects are not relevant to the actual point. I realize the civil rights act may not apply.

By the way, I added the 'Whats next" at the beginning of the post to make the point that its really a slippery slope.
If today we allow Lowes to pull out its ads from a Muslim reality show, because of complaints from bigots, will that not embolden them further? If Muslims dont stand up for themselves, the bigots will simply demand bigger concessions.
