OK so following from the SPERM TEST thread the couple have received results for the sperm test and the result is not that great. IVF has also been mentioned and even then only 30% chance of conceiving.
Just want to know is there any way to fix this low sperm thing? A change of lifestyle, eating more fruit and veg. taking multivitamins, goats milk, cherry tomatoes?
I think this couple are now contemplating going to a desi homeo pathic doctor.

hmmm...this is ur third thread on this topic... i m wonderin if its u.. cus u do seem to know ALOT abt this couple. if it is u, dun b embarassed u know. its not a big deal! :)
alrite so i want to know what did the test say and why they have 30 chance of conceiving. is just the sperm count low or the motility also??? also motility is equally important.
if u search online there are many medicines for this. but these are popular ones, u can ask the couple to show these med list to doctor and take advice before takin them:
1) Spemam (its by Himalaya, absolutely herbal)
2) COQ10
3) Glovit
i know a lot about the couple becoz they are both close to me!
And unfortunatly are very worried about this situation.
Well i think the doctor pointed out the a normal sample of sperm contains 20 million cells...and the sample given only contained something like o.3 million.
Anyway im just wondering if anyone knows of anyone else in this situation....
SC, it really depends on the reason for low count. I’d seriously try to talk your friend out of seeking homeopathic remedies at least until he’s been seen by a good urologist and finds out the reason. It may be something correctable (maybe a varicose vein plugging up the works) or it may be something irreversible (such as damaged works from heat).
Anyway, they really need to find the true cause before they can find a possible cure. Heres a link to a page that describes what the urologist would check for:

Geez guy...whats your problem? seriously even if its him and he is nt comfortable discussing this as his problem whats your issue here? your concern should be to advice/help not to find out who the couple is.
SC, they should still know the exact reason for low count....like I said, it MAY be fix-able and it may not be. If theres an irreversible problem causing it, then the money they spend on homeopathy is money thrown away. And could be put to use in the very expensive undertaking of IVF.
Either way, the doc who did the test did only half his job. He was right that a count that low would make even IVF difficult but he (apparently) did not look for an underlying cause of the low count. Thats a very important thing to know.
If they actually do find out that the low count is irreversible, they can look into a procedure called ICSI which is a more complicated form of IVF…involves injecting a single healthy sperm directy into the center of a healthy egg. And I’d think that this would be a better plan to follow than homeopathy which at best would make slight improvement to count…this person needs an extremely dramatic improvement. So unless he’s got something like a vaso-contriction from a varicose vein or something like that, its unlikely in the extreme that his count will increase to the degree needed for fertility.
Anyway, maybe give the couple info on ICSI. Its pretty successful in cases like theirs… Heres a link
ps, I’m not a doc so please dont take this as medical advice. I’ve been thru infertility and worked in the field for a couple of years and I’ve seen many people waste time and money and create much heartbreak for themselves by placing their trust in unproven treatments like homeopathy.

your right i dont think any cause was identified for the low count. Indeed, neither was any solution put forward. The doctor jumped straight to IVF.
Another Sperm test will be carried out soon. maybe to determine if the first one was right or not and eliminate any errors in the first test!

excuse me. i was talkin to HIM.... I m NOT interested in knowing the couple!!! I was just teasin him.
and I am a girl, not a guy.
mo3 as far as i know the doctor straight away pointed to IVF treatment. The doctor said he doesnt know of any treatments that could fix it!
which is why the couple are thinking of going the homeopathic route now!
No, IVF is not good expensive and painful as far i know.
SC, homeopath is not a good option. This problem can easily be solved in Islami + unani tib. Many couples
successfully have used or using it and and gifted with children by the grace of Allah.I am not talking about fraud hakeem but certainly here in Pakistan u will find some true, god fearing and have a lot of Shifa in thier hands. Some well known people for this specific problem are
in Pakistan theres always People who claim to be able to claim such things…but isn’t it mostly heresay. Anyone know of any couple that’s actually used these unani stuff and it worked for them?
Qarshi is more sort of corporate company than medicine. There products are very expensive as compared to similar brands of others moreover they are not much reliable. But i know personally the last man, Hakeem Tariq Sahab , no i am not married :D , actually he is a great man, sufi, reformer, spirtual teacher and above all world known Tib-e-Nabwi and Unani authority. One of my relative have a back bone and he used his medicine and perfectly alright.
I know , some chors/fraudiyai are also here but the names i have mentioned are above any doubt specially Hakeem Tariq Mahmood , i can give you his phone, address so that you can personally contact him. I think he also reply via email. You can try that if you want, plz. let me know
Regards
One best thing is about people come from all over Pakistan for thier different problems like martial health , household hip hops, financial crisis, students for exams, bankers, industrialists and he solve thier problem without a single penny listening them. Certainly if you take his medicine it will cost , but its qute low. There is so rush in Lahore that people take tokens for thier turn. In month , he distribute his Sundays like one Sunday to Islamabad so Rawalpindi etc areas people can reach him, second sunday to Karachi for Sindh areas, and third for his hometown, Bahalwanagar, so southern Punjab people reach him.
if there were no sperm cells not even a single one...then maybe that would have been a problem..but theres some ...and surely theres got to be somethign out there that improves on this....
plus
make dua to Allah!
Only a good expert can tell about some cells /ratio/sufficiennt etc. I hope rather i am sure if you contact him, inshallah you will surely fix your problem by the grace of Allah.

all i want to know is could a healthier lifestyle increase sperm count? can they be related?
SC the short answer is yes, in SOME cases. If the low count is due to endocrine imbalance, smoking or substance abuse, extreme stress, malnutrition, vasoconstriction. In these cases, it can be corrected - each one requiring a different treatment.
If its due to damage from heat, bicycling, childhood mumps, toxic exposure, genetic defect then its not treatable.
One of those links above lists most of the causes.
Something to bear in mind is that it takes about 80 days for a sperm to develop. If you cant talk the guy out of seeking homeopathy and seek real answers then let him know that anyone who claims results in any amount of time less than 3 months is a quack.
theres always development going on and all the sperms are in different stages of development. So at any time, there should be around 20 to 30 million mature ones but also millions of sperms in earlier stages of development.
