My Khala used to call my Khaloo "Innn k Abba" (Innn = my cousins) :D

a typical convesation

"khala aap kub aeen gee" ... "Inn k abba aeen gaay tu hum nikleeen gaay"

or

"Khala yee suit kub leya" .... "Inn k abba laeey theey"

we used to tease her about and asked her a lot k "Innn k paida honey say pehley aapa khaloo ko keya kehtee theen" :D

you should have ask her question about her wedding. She would have said some thing about "inn ky aba"
Then you could have asked "innn to pe'da bhi naheen huy thy tab"

:-O is there no one on here that calls their partner by their name?! i know for some its a bit strange culturally, dont think its anything to do with islam, but the idea of not being able to call your wife or husband by their name is just really ridiculous.

i say this despite the fact that many of my aunts refer to their hubbys as so and so's abbu etc, why? he's a man,not a god so you cant say his name. my mum also does this. have noticed though that some of my uncles call their wives by name always.

myself,i use his name wherever i may be, by ourselves or with relatives/family.
as for nicknames,i use them in private lol. my fave and most used for him is jaan.

Many GS girls are too cute I guess. When we are in front of others I do call him by his name or sometimes "janab"
