In my humble opinion, (to cut it short):

**Loving someone: **You love someone because you want to (Loving is in your control)

**Being in love: **You love someone but you are not sure if you want to (Loving is beyond your control)

I might be wrong.

Both mean pretty much the same thing, it's just that you'd use one or the other depending upon the person/situation.

loving some is: u love some one for a reason. . .like parents, kids, spouse

being in love is: the feeling of love which is unintentional and happening on its own

I think loving someone means your care about them such as a family or a friend. Being in love means feelings beyond loving someone. It's hard to explain.
