Love or Liberalism?

**Is the whole process of dating, patching-up, or breaking-up a gift of 20th Century? and Is modern love a by product of liberalism [where only certain elements of love remains]? **

Re: Love or Liberalism?

well.. this is more of a philosophical query than a simple 'life & relationships' question. I think relationships have become increasingly superficial with this dating and breaking up phenomenon. Both men and women start associating unrealistic demands with the relationship, and what often follows is sheer disappointment. Back in the days relationships were based on mutual compromise, and both parties knew there was no easy way out, so they tried to stick with each othe rthrough thick and thin. Now they know they can opt out much easily, so they do not even try to make it work, and sometimes make an issue out of immaterial things. Love, as I understand it, is unconditional, whereas modern love is nothing but a set of conditions.

Re: Love or Liberalism?

I guess love starts when we finish dating/seeing/gifting/breakin-up/making-up&out with each other.

Re: Love or Liberalism?

in a way love has been commercialised but then on the other hand LOVE HAS NO BOUNDARIES rules or anything. u cnt judge love ---- it cud exist in about anything in any form. so love is love no matter if its in the 20th century or 19th.
i mean lolz now time has gone far ahead u wudnt expect heer-ranjha stories , but maybe a modern form of it :D
pehley heer saag ley ker chup ker ranjhay key liye khana ley key jati thi now two lover go on a decent dinner together.
