My marriage was 100% love marriage. Was not love at first sight, took some time. Story is long because we had many obstacles and challenges that we had to meet.

Mine is similar story with a difference it was love first then arranged. I think in our culture most loves , ultimately get changed into arranged marriages. No

Well I guess I should've written a bit more. Same case in our marriage. We liked each other and then told our families. Then families met each other and arranged everything. But the point is that we knew each other for almost 4 years before we got married.

love or arranged who cares they both hardly work these days, mine was arranged total disaster i seen people luv marraiges thers hardly doing well, just stay single and flirt:)

you tell your family and have them arrange it for you

your family introduces you to someone
you like each other

All of the weddings of Rasool Allah (SAW) were not 100% arranged . The marriage of Holy Prophet (SAW) to Hazrat Zainab (RA) was love first and then arranged marriage. It is even mentioned in Quran that Rasool Allah had the inkling to marry her in his heart.
For details look at any tafseer al Qur'an and in it tafseer of Surah 33 verse numbers 36—38.
So in my case I followed this sunnah mine was love then arranged.

i just got engaged to my sister's devar... it was arranged at first but i'd say by the time we get married it'll be a bit of both :)

but i thought in husband/wife relationship its always give and take not just give give and give some more....
