On serious note, one of m good friend got married. He was in NY and bhabi was in UK and they met on MIRC (yeah old platform but them it wad 2000). They are mashallah living happy life with 3 wonderful daughters

How do you meet someone off facebook? Stalking friends' friends or joining discussion groups?
I made some friends off facebook when I posted asking what activities are going around for social networking on a masjid website. Only one guy responded, a similarly progressive minded guy - he was married and they wanted to make new friends in the area, so that's how I made one group of friends, oddly enough!
