I’ve noticed that the love marriage issue often depends on who the person happens to be. If you bring home a person who you’re parents find suitable or at least tolerable, it doesn’t seem to be as much of an issue. However, if they disapprove of your choice of person, that’s when it becomes an issue and they use the love marriage argument against you.

compatibility of families have almost same weightage as compatibility between couple in our culture. So problems arise, when there are compatibility issues between family members.
