I watched “the last lecture” last night…it was about an extraordinary man, a professor of technology who was diagnosed with terminal cancer at age 46. He decided that he had no time to waste on being angry or sad and so lived the short rest of his life to the very fullest. And he developed this “last lecture” to show others how to do it.
After having lost my dad a short year and a half ago, I watched this show thinking how unfair it all was…that extraordinary people like this professor and like my dad are taken from this earth when they have so very much to offer and teach mankind.
Yet, then I thought…that these people may actually be chosen. To enlighten others on how to go thru life AND death with grace, happiness and above all, joy and wonder.
It was an amazing show. He was, like my dad, an amazing man. He actually published a book called the last lecture and that is his legacy to his little children. HOW blessed they are. If you can find this on your cable channel, its the most worthwhile thing I’ve ever seen.
