Re: Love in a Time of

^ First of all a Muslim does not have sects: its Just Muslim. Secondly "Whoever kills a person **has killed the ***whole of humanity*" - Quran. And finally, many say that its the liberating force behind this, some say its the "insurgents", others say its both. I tend to stick to "both" part: As, some deviated maniacs exist in each society.

Re: Love in a Time of

i mean what the hell...why do these sects go to the extremes....atleast they all are muslims......

i still cant understand what makes them kill their fellow muslim brothers and sisters.......

extreme brain washing

Re: Love in a Time of

There is more to it. There are sects for a reason. AND itsme, you cannot call them all muslims. Their belief about prophet :saw: is wrong. So you cannot put them all under one ceiling.

Re: Love in a Time of

what do you mean bizz?

Re: Love in a Time of

Shias give preference to Hazrat Ali :razi: over Prophet Muhammad :saw:.
Being muslim means you have to believe in Allah and his last messenger, Prophet Muhammad :saw:.

They don’t believe that, and say that Hazrat Ali :razi: should have been the prophet, :naooz:

Re: Love in a Time of

Shia Sunnis have lived for centuries in relative peace...

In the documentary 'Empire of Faith', as the Usmania Khilafat (The Sunni Khilafa) was setting his sights on Europe and its warmongering states, the Safavids (the Shia Khilafa) kept attacking the Sunni Khilafa from behind thereby weakening the Usmania Khilafat...The Usmania Khilafat had actually reached all the way into Hungary...

I even read that during many raids by European forces on the Usmania Khalafat, the Safavids would send their men to assist the Europeans against the Usmania Khilafat...

But now, the whole thing has shifted...Now the enemy is a tactful enemy which doesn't strike from the front but the weakest point: Faith...

By setting bombs in Shia Masjids, it is very easy to claim that a Sunni did it and vice versa...Most naive and simple folks would be driven to believe that and hurl their anger at each other...This method of divide and conquer is age old yet, some very susceptible people fall easy prey to it...

Re: Love in a Time of

bizz...oh my gosh..is that really true..i dint know that.....

is there any shia around?

Re: Love in a Time of

bizz:
I am not calling anyone Muslim - but am saying that to be a Muslim, one does not call himself/herself a shia, sunni, etc. A Muslim calls himself/herself a Muslim - nothing more.

barbie:
You could say “brainwashing” or just simply “hatered” or “ignorance” or some of these people are no longer able to think straight because of so much pain and horrific scenes such as “mother and sisters” being abused, or “father and brothers” being brutally tortured - then being killed.

Now, lets focus on the last group: These People are very delicate and emotional due to all the miseries they have gone through. If someone tells them kill, they will do it because now, they have lost the feelings, the human nature which was raped from them.

The best example are People of Palestine (May Allah :swt: help them).

Re: Love in a Time of

huh and what about the insurgence and mutiny happens in pakistan and other NORMAL countries bewteen these two sects.....

Re: Love in a Time of

:k:,

Exactly - This Tactic of Divide and Conquer is nothing new to Western World.

Jazak’Allah Khair

Re: Love in a Time of

Uhhhh…NO! Thats way off base and I suggest you get your islamic knowledge right. Shias believe that the Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) WAS the last prophet. However, after the prophet (pbuh) shias believe imamat started where Hazrat Ali (a s) was the first imam. Thus, through lineage, imamat was passed on from generation to generation. Some shias believe that imamat ended with Imam Jafer-e-sadiq; other shias (ismailis) believe that imamat continued with Imam Ismail and has continued since then with Prince Karim Aga Khan being the current imam; hence he is the direct descendent of the prophet (pbuh).

I absolutely agree with the fact that we’re all muslims and are all the creation of Allah. Fighting amongst ourselves has never nor will ever accomplish anything.

Re: Love in a Time of

Barbie, INSURGENT is a funny word. - People of Iraq fighting Invaders being called Insurgents? thats plain pathetic. Being called a Insurgent in his/her own land is hilarious.

Now, your second question: Refer to what Lajawab said and I said about it.

Re: Love in a Time of

but imamat didnt start with Hazrat Ali

Re: Love in a Time of

Just passing the view from a shia perspective.

Re: Love in a Time of

who is calling iraqis insurgent?

Re: Love in a Time of

oh thats really interesting..i dint know that anil.....

so whats your point of view...are they(shias) right in believing so?

Re: Love in a Time of

Do not want this topic to sidetrack, however There are no Decendents of the Prophet [PBUH] alive. - Whoever says so commits a grave sin.

Re: Love in a Time of

I don't want to judge other muslims in how they interpret Islam. I just keep my faith in Allah and treat all other muslims equally.
