John and Mike met after a long time and were updating each other about the events that took place in their lives. Mike tells John about how he came so close to getting married.
I met Julie. We fell in love. We dated for about a year and decided to get engaged. We got engaged and planned to get married the following summer. Things didn’t work out, once we were taking the train and the train was crossing a bridge over a river. She got mad with me for some reason, and took off her engagement ring and threw it in the river. Our engagement was broken. A few years later, I was in a restaurant with some friends and I ordered fish. While eating, I felt something crunchy in my mouth, as if I was chewing on something hard.
