The humble Lotta has few equivalents in Britian.

It could be simply reffered to as the privy pot.

Which is a special vessel for you know what....

It is different to the chamberpot which was once a common item in British homes. The Privy pot was actually a more eliteist item although it soon became more common among the lower classes due to increasing prospertiy.

A spitoon was another common vessel often found in social meeting places and public bars where the attendants would use this vessel for habitual spitting target.
