there must be a reason why they never mentioned his name.. pretty unusual.
BTW i was disappointed in last episode. they didnt answer any thing about the island, all the magic going on, rules, dead people, jacob etc.. instead they shifted it to the unknown light in the tunnel.

plus who killed all those people smokey was living with. they were destroyed and burned like smoke monester would have done. it is obvious that the "mother" did it since she is the only one who had problems with it, so does it mean she was a smoke monester herself.

^yup that's exactly what happened
as they showed both his mother and MIB dead to which "adam and eve" reference was given

and that smoke monster thingy came out from the light
so there's still some mystery about the light now :D

all their collective poor performances are pushing me towards smokey. let the poor man go to the main land, he waited hundreds of years while jacob makes frequent trips. also he wants the island to be gone and so am i.

I am sure he died. after all he is not even candidate.
but knowing lost, you can never be sure about who died, how, when, which world and if they are really really dead.

I actually started liking desmond more, he is in command and knows what he is doing. back in the days locke and jack used to be the same.

Yeah…now that Jack is the new Jacob…Kate, Sawyer and Hurley can now be harmed by MIB.

Because the way it worked was that Jacob brought people on the Island to choose who will be succeed him in becoming the guardian of the Island.

And while MIB could not kill any of the candidates, he would try to corrupt them.

^my guess now is that the "light" is radioactive
and the only person right now that can go into it is desmond
so i guess locke's gonna blackmail desmond to go init and destroy it, destroying the island

lets see :D
desmond's become a very important character these last few episodes

the end IMO will be like, jack and MIB sitting on the beach talking like jacob once did with MIB
and MIB challenges jack this time that he'll find a loophole and get off the island
