I lost my dad when I was 8. And it felt like as if there was nothing of mine left. And even to this day (9 years onwards) I miss him so much, it’s like you lose everything, yes you still have your mother, but your mum and dad are two different sides of the same coin.
All I can say is if you don’t have you’re father, you have Allah (swt) looking down on you and protecting you. I’m soo sorry for your loss. I don’t think that things will be normal again like they were when you’re dad was alive, but normal in a different way that you get used to not having your dad around.
Losing a parent is one of the most hardest things in life. I wouldn’t talk to anyone or say anything for a whole month, and my mum was in such a state of shock that we never really communicated, and therefore never really discussed how we felt about losing dad. I think you should talk to your mum and/or your siblings and don’t bottle anything up.
But slowly, time passes and that pain and hurt inside starts to heal, occasionally it starts to burn again…but you get used to it and you know that you should pray for your father and be happy that atleast you saw him, because some people don’t even see their parents.
I’m really sorry to hear this and I hope that Allah (swt) protects you from any harm =) ![]()
