I once lost my voice for two whole months. I’m sure some people saw it as a blessing.
Anyway, for me, it wasn’t painful. My throat was fine and it was more psychological. I was quite unhappy at the time and was going through a lot of stress.
In your case, I’m sure it has to do with all those sweets you keep telling me about.
Next time, try gargling with warm water and salt. It does help.

A bit different from this topic, but at my working place one of my colleagues has a soar throat, I keep thinking of giving our own ammi ki ilaaj, like taking a spoon of olive oil or something, but the colleague is non Pakistani, would I be laughed at if did?

It has nothing to do with eating skittles! sachi it doesn’t. I’v done the salt water thing, for two days now.
My voice is back, it’s just very croaky and man-like, Throat hurts awfully bad, I have a runny nose and a fever… oh and phlegm everywhere.
It’s all Maddy’s fault as he said I was sick and now I really am.
