I was just typing out a post and pressed submit, the login screen came up, I logged in and instead of the post being submitted, it got lost. This doesn’t normally happen on other forums and it has happened to me on GS one too many times now.
Re: Lost posts
SO you timed out?
Usually in blog entries, you don't lose your typed content...you are brought back to the exact same screen after you log in again. For long posts and PMs, I usually do a copy paste when I know I've been on too long and may be timed out.
Re: Lost posts
If I type a long post then I do it in note pad and once I am done I copy and paste.

I don't do it at work, so yes I get timed out. Pretty annoying, and you can't go back to retrieve it whether its firefox or any other browser.

The best way to deal this problem is to click on remember check box when you enter username and password.
it will help to keep cookies on your machine so that you will never get any session expiration error.
Other way is to increase session timeout on server and need site admin attention on that matter, but I dont think that could be feasible option on such a site with load of requests.
