Lost Items

I am pretty sure there is a dua one reads when looking for lost items, I can’t remember what it is. Can anyone help please?

Thanks.

Re: Lost Items

Some says, you can read Darood Sharif. Some says there is an Ism-e-Azam. But Ism-e-Azam is allowed when you lost hope of findind that thing.

Another hint, just pray in any words, in any language, Allah will listen to you. He knows all the languages and He is very kind towards us.

Re: Lost Items

To my knowledge Ism-e-Azam is: Rab-e-kullo shai'un Khadim-o-ka rab-e-fa fazni wan surni war hamni

Re: Lost Items

Oh no, not that long. Its very simple. Al-Haq-o 100 times and after this pray to Allah. Do this alone, in night before going to bed and do not talk to anyone after this till you wake up. In open area, in your yard and look directly at sky while reciting the Ism and praying. This is the proper way of recitation of this Ism-e-Azam.

Re: Lost Items

Hmmm this is new to me but one never stops learning

Re: Lost Items

you source, please?

Re: Lost Items

The one thing I know is to recite Inna Lillahay wa inna IlayehaY raje’oon..

Second thing is something that is a wazifa from sufism (Sharaabi bro, dun go goofy there now:p)

but I won’t list it here because I do not have any source from Quran and Sunnah. It is a dua that you write with your finger on any of the door of the house…

It’s 110% personally successfully experienced for last 12 years now

I found lost things from places where I never imagined them to be …

And ALLAH is the Mussabbib-ul-Asbaab and all praises belong to Him and Him alone. :subhan:

Re: Lost Items

Sources would be helpful.

I usually recite 'Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajeoon' and try my best to be patient.

Re: Lost Items

I did not mention what the wazifa is so no point in searching for source anyway... I do not know... I just believe in it for it always works for me ...

Re: Lost Items

It's used for so many things, we also pray it when we loose something: la ielaha iella anta soebhanaka iennie koentoe mienazaliemien.

Re: Lost Items

i use the same

Re: Lost Items

How about "God please help me find X"?

Or is English haraam too?

Re: Lost Items

No, it is not haraam at all. In fact, it is perfectly fine to ask ALLAH for help in any language.

However, Allah, as mentioned in His Book, has created this world as the place of Cause and Effect. It is in His hand to make anything possible without having a logical explanation (e.g birth of Jesus:as: ) but He is Ar Rahman, Ar- Raheem

He has taught us how to pray to Him in His holy book. He guides us from the start of the book about how to pray to Him. **Iyaaka Na’budo wa iyaaka nasta’een **(We worship You and we only ask help from you)…

No matter, how you ask Him, He will listen to your prayers; yet by asking Him using the prayers He has taught us in Quran makes the whole situation beneficial for us in two folds. By reciting, such prayers, we get extra sawaab (The Brownie Points!) plus the lost thing back…

That explains, even losing something may end up as mercy of ALLAH:swt: for He’s the knower of everything.

:subhan:

Re: Lost Items

Okay, then what is the ayah in the Quran that we can use as a duah to help us find things. I need it. I lost a sweater.

Re: Lost Items

Inna Lillahay wa inna IlayehaY Ra'je'oon

Re: Lost Items

But that's the prayer you read for dead people. You don't want to, God forbid, FIND those dead people!

Re: Lost Items

you **also **read for dead people. When we pray, I suppose we know the meaning of it.

actually, we do wish to find them in hereafter in Jannah

Re: Lost Items

Well I don't wish to find my sweater in the hereafter. Tell me an ayah I can read to find lost material items in this lifetime.

Re: Lost Items

Anwar Bhai is correct, that is the Ayah I have heard we should when we lost something (not just humans).
