My hubby has lost his car keys. Does anyone know how long it would take to get a new set. We will be going to our local dealer but I just wanted an idea of how long it might take or how much it might cost. Its a 2002 model peugeot 406.
Re: Lost car keys
it wil not take more tim ....
might take long tim on official formalities ........Nothing else
Re: Lost car keys
^^ if in hurry, call any key maker, would cost around £160 +VAT, he will give you a keycode as well.
second option is get the new key and get it coded from the main dealer of peugeot, careful they tend to charge a lot more for no reason. it shouldn cost much.
I had been vicitm of peugeot brent cross of immobilizer code issues. they charged me about £800 pounds without actually fixing it. at the end i had to fix it myself. :(
Re: Lost car keys
Well hes ordered a key from someone he knows who works in a dealers and he says it’ll take up to 10 days. But apparently there is no other way we can start the car without the new key. Unless we deactivate the immobiliser which will cost loads to re activate. So hes off the road for quite a while which is not good as his job is self employed driving, so hes off work for a while as well. ![]()
Re: Lost car keys
Get a rent a car, isnt that option viable???
Re: Lost car keys
Well, if he drives for a living then this would be business expense. I would pay up to expedite the process if necessary.
