whats an effective way or losing 10 kilos in 2 months? will only eating one meal per day help achieve this or eating less and say drinking fluids more, water, juices , tea?
Re: losing weight
As they say, drop rice and roti. Green tea helps too. Eat in small portions and make sure u r not full. Experienced campaigners can add more.

Re: losing weight
What I did was start slowly and then work it up from there. First of all, what you need is to figure out how many calories do you burn a day without doing anything special meaning if you were just living (BMR), and not doing anything. Once you have that take 20% off that number and that is what you eat. For me that number came to about 1700 calories per day. I started there but was hungry most of the time so I went on OMAD (one meal a day) but still had to maintain my calorie intake lower that what I burned and then worked out with it as well. Just to give you an idea if this works, I have lost about 75 pounds since I started on this around end of august 2016
Here is the tdee caculator that should help you get that number: https://tdeecalculator.net
Re: losing weight
It can only by done by using different workouts or gym to lose weight within two months.....
Re: losing weight
With dieting you also do some exercise in order to lose your weight
Re: losing weight
I have lost 47 lbs, which is about 20 kgs. Here is what I did:
Eat 1200 calories daily
Chart calories
Decrease carb intake
Eat 5 meals a day but small portions
Exercise 30 minutes 5 times per week
Find alternatives to foods u love: ex oats haleem, fixed cauliflower, squash spaghetti, zucchini lasagna, cabbage tacos /wraps... pretty much switch the carb for a vegetable or healthier option in meals.
If I eat something high in days or calories during one meal, I have salad for the next 2 meals.
Re: losing weight
Thats a great progress. Congrats! :k:
I like the last statement strategy. It can be something we can adopt too

how long did it take you to lose the 20kg?
instead of eating healthier would eating less , smaller portions help ? or just eating less in general so , say breakfast and dinner no lunch ?

Yes quite simple......whenever I visit Pakistan, the well water there has too much sulphates!.... I always loose 15-18 Lbs, unless I drink bottled water then it is no weight loss!
Re: losing weight
One must start doing exercise, running or any other physical sport to work on the cardio. And also start eating vegetables and salads at least once a day.

What I have found during my jouney(still going) is that it is not an exact science for everyone. You will have to start somewhere and find what works for you along the way. I started with 2 meals (breakfast and dinner) then moved to 3 meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) still under 1700 calories a day then moved to one meal a day (still under 1400) which worked the best for me along with intermitted fasting. I dont workout as much because of skin issues but I am still losing weight.
Re: losing weight
The best way to eliminate fats is through proper diet and exercise. Supplements may also be helpful.

It's not healthy to lose weight that quickly. You should give yourself more than 2 months.
Re: losing weight
Don’t eat only one meal a day. NO NO NO.
Eat several smaller meals a day or 3 regularly portioned size meals. (4-6 oz for women and 5-7 oz for men). As many green vegetables as you can possibly eat and complex carbs....lots of water. Eat fruit (but low on the glycemic index chart).
Exercise unfortunately is something we either hate or don’t make time for sometimes both. It is a must though. I don’t mean a stroll in the park. Start walking fast, to jogging, burpees, squats, lunges…etc.
Another helpful tip is this. 1 lb is 1 lb. whether it’s a pound of feathers or a pound of rocks, correct?
However, muscle is more dense than fat…correct? Now, here’s the point. Lift weights (I.e. Resistance training). Women WILL NOT, I repeat WILL NOT, build muscle as men do. In order for that to happen the amount of protein you would need to consume (and possibly horomones) would be insane. 3-5 days a week of resistance training is enough with 4-6 days of cardio. You will lose fat, build muscle and be smaller, even if you do gain some pounds.
Also, stick with a diet from 1200-2000 calories. I obviously don’t know your age, height, weight or muscular build so I can’t give precise intake of calories. But, use this to figure out what your frame size and go from there. The BMI chart is crap.
P.S. I do this for a living.
Re: losing weight
One meal a day has worked for many people and so has the 5 bites per meal approach. The Prophet SAW ate one meal a day ...2 being the max. Same with the sahaba. It's said that after the Prophet SAWS passed, the first sunnah that was broken was that of eating to one's fill. In other words, people broke his sunnah of eating less and became excessive in their consumption. This leads to a host of not only health problems but also hinders spiritual development as it makes one sluggish in ibadat. And now experts are finding validity in this sunnah. Eating only 1-2 meals a day is a form of intermittent fasting a during this state the body produces more HGH or human growth hormone which is said to keep one looking younger. It's said eating too much (and especially the wrong foods) contributes to outward aging as well. Even experts vary in the opinions and approaches. If 1 meal is too hard, then try 2 instead.
Apart from that, in the past I've stuck to 1 small roti a day. Not a fan of chawal. I wasn't fat, but I wanted a flat stomach. So, To achieve that I would combine salads with my meal and I would eat fruit to fill me up...lots of water...and combining cardio with weights.

would it be possible to lose 12 kilos in 3 months eating two meals a day say breakfast/lunch having a snack for dinner..does drinking lots of water actually help in losing weight? or is that just healthy.

Go on a Low Carb DietIf you want to get all the benefits of carb restriction, then consider taking this all the way and going on a low carb diet.
Numerous studies show that such a diet (or “way of eating”) can help you lose 2-3 times as much weight as a standard low-fat diet, while improving your health at the same time (23, 24, 25). -
Use Smaller PlatesUsing smaller plates has been shown to help people automatically eat fewer calories in some studies. Weird trick, but it seems to work (26).

Exercise Portion Control or Count CaloriesPortion control (eating less) or counting calories can be very useful, for obvious reasons (27).
There are also studies showing that keeping a food diary and writing down what you eat, or taking pictures of all your meals, can help you lose weight (28, 29).
Anything that increases your awareness of what you are eating is likely to be usefu
