Re: Losing stubborn weight
see i was trying to lose ALL body fat.. i brought from 20% body fat to 12% my goal was to touch sub-ten..
i didnt realized that when u r in -30 type cold weather.. (it differs where i live, 0 to -30 celsius) ur body basically has no 'defence' against the cold, and regardless what u wear, how u protect urself, the muscles tend to shrink, lose stamina, grip with the bones, and it leads to problems .. specially for my work which is physically demanding..
regarding your case, i wouldnt advice eggs.. i advice to eat EVERYTHING you want.. but dont repeat what u eat in 4 days (of 24 hrs), whatever you eat, lets say 3-4 pounds of food in total, split it ... instead of eating 3 meals, eat SAME amount in 5, so basically after every 3 hrs, eat something..
increase green leaves veggies in your diet..best is lettuce.. (no dressing, big nono), add some salt, if u can develop some taste, mix honey..
stop anything that falls in category 'dessert' (after meals) u want BEST dessert? skin-still-on-apples.. has 80 calories, and for it to digest, body has to spend 120 calories..
key is:
1. keep your heart rate elevated even if u r sitting idle..u know people with nervousness? shaking legs all the time? its great exercise...like meanwhile i am typing this, i am keeping my feet flat on ground, heels dancing up and down in air, working out my shines.. what that does is keep blood flow happening at above-regular pressure..
cant emphasize more, water..
if have stairs.. use them.. instead of dragging up/down, try running up/down for regular house work... u dont need gym to be fit... at 2, 3 whatever time of night i come from work.. i put my sweats on, cover my body properly and go for runs..
if time isnt a concern and u want to have great figure, u gotta eat right.. and burn it properly too..people often confuse themselves by the term of 'losing' weight... make your goal proper that what u wanna achieve.. lose a dress size, lose an inch off waist, develop athletic legs or appealing buns, or personal like healthy lifestyle+energetic all the time..
if u want personally-proven diet+lifestyle, i get up 150pm, at 151 my alarm starts to ring.. i get up, before going to bathroom, i drink glass of water..go to bathroom, come back, take tea with evaporated milk and lil-higher sugar, along with that, i eat something heavy.. its my first meal of the day so it has to be the heaviest.. i take another tea along with me on drive.. (i drop mom to work and then i go to my work)
as i pull in parking lot, i am finishing that second tea... i park the FURTHEST portion of parking lot, i wear a "huddy" to work (sweat-top with hood) i pull it up, wear gloves, and with lunch bag on shoulder i try to walk as fast as i can to entrance, 300 yds away. from there i have to walk 8 minutes to my department, i grab a watermouthfull from fountain, swipe in, change shoes, and walk till buzzer gets off..
all this time, my heart rate is elevated and burning off energy.. depending upon job, i plan my next meals... what i take from home contains: steamed vegetables, majority is green, carrots, brocolli, i love non-oil cooking, these things are steamed in water and contains lil 2-3 pinches of shan's tikka masala, do ur taste buds dont feel left out..
in second break i buy a fruitpack ...it has fresh cut apples, grapes, guava, melon, and grapefruit juice/pineapple juice (ur choice) i eat that right away, buy a 1% chocolate milk pack, and rush upstairs to my department... for next 3 hrs, i am on docks, loading/training new people...again heart rate is elevated and EXTREME energy is being used to lift/move stuff..
i get off work at 145am, rush to car as fast as i can, clean off snow, give extra 4-5 minutes in cold, get in,drive to coffee shop, buy myself a large tea....come home,
NOW its upto me to eat daal+chaawal or yogurt+whatever... (daal = very high protein, needed for muscle reconstruction, rice is carb-rich, need that for energy/fat build up, or else next day i will be shaking in lifting boxes)
i dont sleep less than 2 hrs after ANY meals... and elevate my heart rate/blood pressure before that..
this routine is for athletes/physically-demanding work..i dunno how much you do, but this will give u SOME IDEA of how i am treating myself..
ps, i eat at popeyes/pizza shops atleast once a month, i treat my body that way... its about balancing your cravings versus results.. i know i shouldnt.. but hey... my body helped me in every aspect of life.. i treat it nice..
