What do we do when we put on weight and our body starts to feel slow and sluggish? We get up and exercise, work hard and burn the excessive kilos off. Similarly, when spiritually down, the remedy is to first take a step back and have a long hard look at yourself. Try to free yourself from all the unnecessary things and issues that have surrounded you in life (listen to the nice lecture on this topic from Sheikh Ninowy posted up there by someone). Read the Holy Quran and read about the beautiful lives of the Prophets, particularly Muhammad Mustafa (saww) and his AHlul Bayt (as). Foremost, ask Allah (swt) to show you the way.
