Anyone try these?
They’ve been out for quite a while, it’s supposed to be professional quality stuff, i guess a few steps above the Covergirl/maybelline/other drugstore makeup. They promise better quality, and better color payoff. All of their eye pigments/liners/liquid shadows come with “professional-quality” brushes.
Their prices are only slightly lower than major department store brands, such as pigments for $11.99 vs $15 at mac, but coupled with the sales some drugstores have going on (like buy one get one free), the prices become more reasonable.

i haven't tried them. i don't think they are even available here in the UK.
but i used to frequent a mac community and when H.I.P came out everyone was going crazy over them and saying that they were just as good as the mac shadows in terms of colour payoff and the shades were pretty popular too. so you probably couldn't go wrong with them and you're right that with sales etc you'd save a fair bit!

they had the sale today I bought a cream liner in teal.. thats actually bright blue on me.
and the pigment, is eh. i’ve had better.

^lol. well i have to be honest. i'm a bit of a make-up snob now. i don't buy anything from drugstore brands because when i have in the past i'm always disappointed no matter how much people have said a particular product is really good.

I have quite a number of HIP duos, I got them for like $5 on sale at Ulta/CVS.. The quality is good but they're not as 'blendable' as MAC or other top brand eyeshadows. I like them I think they're nice and bright. They actually look even better if you use a good primer such as Urban Decay's Potion.

i like the liner I got , its just the color on me looks totally diff tha n in the pot.
gotta love CVS, they alwyas have teh best sales on makeup. Why oh why can’t dept stores do the same as well?

^yea but in the pot the cream liners look really crazy, but i feel the actual color is more wearable so i like it :) i have it in violet and brown(they had a buy1 get 1 free )

see, i LOVE these! i have the green/grey one and the turqoise/navy blue one- the metallic shadows are awesome and so rich, and the matte colors are just as nice.
i usually do the matte colors all over my lid and then line my lower eye with the metallics. but the metallics blend really nicely on upperlids too with the matte colors, i find.
