Anwar was not in the team because Imran did not think much of him and preferred the likes of Sohail, Ramiz Raja and Zahid Fazal. Anwar was able to come back in the team and establish himself only after Imran was out of the team. Anwar was not alone to Imran’s selective preferences. Shoaib Mohammad was another player that could never impress Imran Khan.
