are they going any more movies? probably prequels?
nai...tolkein came out with three books and they made movies on all three of them
now they're releasing a dvd including the whole set all the sequels and behind the scenes stuff.

Yea there r more books set in the world of lord of the rings but they aren't called LOTR. The first of those books is called The Hobbit i believe.
oohh yeh..i had heard rumours that they were gonna make a prequel out of Hobbits...like the very first war when the ring was originally forged...
Hobbit was about bilbo baggins, and his first major adventure, where he stumbles upon the ring, and gollum is in it too! It was an awesome book, and peter jackson will make it after king kong.
