Lord of The Rings on Stage

I recently went to see the theatre production of Lord of The Rings in the West End, London…

It was absolutely brilliant…with rather an enormous budget, amazing sets, an extremely talented cast and some fantastic music, this made for a thrilling show!

For those who haven’t seen it and are fans of the trilogy…I highly recommend it…you won’t be disappointed…!!

Has anyone else been to see it and what did you think…?

Re: Lord of The Rings on Stage

^^ If I am not wrong, A R Rehman and Varttina composed the music for the show. Way to go A R Rehman.

Re: Lord of The Rings on Stage

What's brilliant about it? Is it true to the books or the movies?

Re: Lord of The Rings on Stage

I love the LOTR.. Great Books and great film.. The critics panned it big time which made me think twice of going to see it in case it disappointed me..
Let's see. I might go see it..
How are you Phoneix.. Long time no see... Hope you are ok. Where did you go see it.. ?

Re: Lord of The Rings on Stage

sweet i.f: I think you missed out big time! I sat next to a group of drama students from South Africa who were being dragged from show to show as part of their trip here, and they thought it was the best one they'd seen!

Luxury Item: I found the movies to be far more in keeping to with the books...

With the stage production, the story is kept intact, although the sheer length of the full trilogy must have been difficult to condense into a 3 hour show...so some parts are ommitted, though to no detriment, in my opinion...

The entertainment factor was excellent, there was a good deal of audience interaction and the cast were word perfect. The choreography was excellent and the music fantastic...they got a full standing ovation at the end...I don't want to say too much more as I don't want to spoil it...but I do highly recommend it...

Confy!! How are you my lovely friend?? Check your PM...I'll send you my contact details...I'm hardly ever on here any more and we must keep in touch :)

Yes, the critics gave it a bashing, but I really think it was unjustified...I definitely think I got my money's worth...

Anyone going to see it, I recommend you get a seat near the front...:)
